I've been working with a client for a few months and they just told me that my content has started flagging up as 100% chance of AI using originality.AI. This has not happened in the past as far as I know (I was simply using Grammarly to check for plagiarism instead of an AI detector).

Are there any ways around this? I have a bunch of articles to return by the end of the week and am concerned that if I don't get this figured out the client is gonna end our working relationship.

I've tried writing prompts using different voices, but this didn't work. I checked out a spinner that changes words for synonyms but it's garbage.

You’re going to need to rewrite sections of the articles to sound less robotic.

Run your articles through this checker: https://contentatscale.ai/ai-content-detector/

Rewrite the sections it highlights in red & dark yellow/orange.

There’s also these threads here: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/how-to-easily-pass-chat-gpt-to-be-human-like-guide.1486612/

https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/advanced-chatgpt-prompt-engineering.1489929/
From now on, when you generate content, you’re gonna need to use better prompting & follow a process such as in this thread: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/h...undetectable-articles-using-chat-gpt.1496370/

Rewrite the content after generating with ai then it will work.

I also came across originality ai today while discussion on another thread.
My prompts have been working great to pass most of the AI detectors buy damn this tool caught that too.
Did a bit of research and I think it's different than others although there have been doubts too like here: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/originality-ai-its-not-as-originality-as-they-think.1489556/

This tool works differently and although there are false detections this seems to be the best tool at the moment.

While other tools just use their algorithms to run your text and analyze it originality ai compares it from a huge database of content labelled as ai or non ai.

But I believe it can be bypassed by improving prompt.

Other way around is by rewriting the content with ai.

It's a cat and mouse game, you need to start using AI to give you ideas, instead of letting it do all the work for you. Nothing against you, just my opinion.

Show the client samples of your content that are indexed and/or ranking, to try and educate them that an arbitrary score given by a predatory 'AI checker' is not a ranking factor.

Fairly sure someone posted a nearly identity thread on this not so long ago.

There’s a few things I would be doing.

Firstly talk to the client and establish how unreliable AI checkers are. Google it you will find enough evidence to support it. Explain to them how they work.

Secondly educate them that google doesn’t care about it being AI they care if it fits their criteria.

Establish if/why they have a problem with AI.

Work on your prompt and work flow. This is really important if you are using AI.

I ran your question through chatgpt 3.5 twice Look at the difference in output

Standard prompt:

It sounds like your client is using a tool called originality.AI to detect the use of AI-generated content. This tool might be flagging your content as being produced by an AI, which could be a concern for your working relationship. Here are a few suggestions to address this issue:

1. Understand the detection criteria: Familiarize yourself with the specific indicators that originality.AI uses to identify AI-generated content. This can help you better understand what elements of your writing might be triggering the detection.

2. Balance AI assistance: While AI tools like Grammarly can be helpful for checking grammar and improving your writing, relying too heavily on them might make your content appear more like it was generated by an AI. Try to strike a balance by using these tools as aids rather than relying solely on them.

3. Inject your unique voice: One way to differentiate your writing from AI-generated content is to infuse it with your own personal style and voice. Develop a distinctive writing style that reflects your expertise and personality. Adding personal anecdotes or insights can also contribute to the uniqueness of your content.

4. Use research and references: Incorporate credible sources, statistics, studies, or references in your content to support your arguments and demonstrate originality. This can help establish your credibility and show that your content is not solely generated by an AI.

5. Collaborate with your client: Communicate openly with your client about the situation. Let them know that you value their feedback and are actively working to address the issue. Discuss your concerns and potential solutions together, demonstrating your commitment to providing high-quality, original content.

6. Seek feedback from others: Reach out to peers or mentors in the content writing field and ask for their feedback on your work. They may be able to provide insights or suggestions on how to make your content more distinctive and less likely to be flagged by originality.AI.

Remember that creating truly original content is essential in maintaining client relationships and building a reputation as a content writer. By taking these steps and being proactive in addressing the issue, you can work towards resolving the concerns raised by the originality.AI tool and continue delivering high-quality, unique content for your client.

I understand the gravity of your situation and the pressure you're facing with looming deadlines and the fear of losing a valuable client. It's never easy when our content, which we pour our heart and soul into, gets flagged as AI-generated by tools like originality.AI. But fear not, for I'm here to share some strategies that might help you navigate this predicament.

First and foremost, it's crucial to reassess your approach to content creation. While writing prompts and different voices are a step in the right direction, there might be other factors at play here. Take a moment to evaluate your content structure, formatting, and overall narrative. AI-generated text often lacks the human touch, so emphasize your unique perspective, experiences, and storytelling abilities.

Furthermore, consider incorporating personal anecdotes and real-life examples that are specific to you or your client's industry. By infusing your content with these authentic elements, you can create a distinct voice that sets you apart from AI-generated content.

Additionally, it's essential to strengthen your research skills and delve deeper into your topics. Provide in-depth analysis, expert insights, and data-driven evidence to support your claims. By showcasing your expertise and going beyond surface-level information, you can demonstrate the human intellect behind your content.

While the temptation to use synonym spinners might seem like a quick fix, it's important to remember that maintaining the quality and coherence of your writing should be your utmost priority. Garbage in, garbage out, as they say. Instead, focus on producing original and compelling content that adds value to your audience.

In terms of plagiarism detection, consider exploring other tools in addition to Grammarly. There are various AI-powered plagiarism checkers available that might offer a more comprehensive analysis of your content's originality. Experiment with different tools to ensure you're covering all bases and providing content that is truly unique.

Lastly, communication is key. Reach out to your client and explain the situation honestly. Share your concerns and express your commitment to delivering high-quality, authentic content. Transparency and open dialogue can go a long way in building trust and maintaining the working relationship.

Remember, you are not alone in this. Many of us have encountered similar challenges along our content writing journeys. By adapting your approach, emphasizing your unique perspective, and leveraging your expertise, you can rise above the AI-generated noise and reclaim your client's confidence.

Stay determined, stay authentic, and together, we can conquer this obstacle.

Wishing you success in your content endeavors!

Warm regards,

Do you have an agreement not to use ai with your client?

I am the client in this case and buying lot's of content. I state in big bold words that do not want ai content. Any writer who does otherwise, doesn't get paid. I wasted $1200 being nice.

don't use a spinner. they can often make your writing sound unnatural and robotic. I recommend you rewrite your content yourself to ensure that it's original and human-like.

I've looked over some of my articles on various platforms and noticed that the results differ.
I'm not sure how these systems operate, but it seems that these AI detectors have a high level of subjectivity when it comes to checking. I wouldn't place much trust in them.
If the text sounds natural, I don't see any reason to rephrase it since there isn't a reliable and unbiased AI checker available.

you need to rewrite and fix it, use those ai checker and check your own article

there is no way for it to be objective, any ai checker is basically witch hunt. there ton of original written article detected as ai.
how do you differentiate who make what if the quality is same?

What rate you are charging him for AI content?
This is the thing.. I'm charging a pretty low rate. If I do more editing it's not going to work out for me financially.

Warm regards,
Impressive. I have already spent quite a bit of time playing with prompts to get the best ones, but have never been able to produce text as good as the second one you created. What prompts did you use?

EDIT: I just ran the second set of text into originality AI and it's coming back as 100% AI :weep:

I agree. AI checkers are not accurate. Could be just a facade. But, for a human reader, it would probably noticeable.

but AI content never be penalized right except for high ratio of plagiarism.

These AI detectors work based on perplexity of texts. so when you lower the perplexity it's more like a human readable form.

I use it for this for other work, but for this I need it to just churn out the text for me to edit slightly. The pay isn't good enough otherwise.

You got many suggestions for how to keep tricking your client.
If you can't write, don't offer content services. If you can, do what you are paid to do.
A relationship between a client and supplier is based mostly on trust, and you broke that trust once and looking for ways to do it again.
