Has AI compliance ever caused a real problem for anyone? Such as delaying a launch, enterprise deal, investment, or audit? If so, what happened?

In my experience, not directly. Most of the delays I've seen were caused by legal or security reviews, with AI compliance being just one part of the overall approval process.

I'm exploring whether better AI risk documentation and evidence could help speed up those broader legal and security reviews. Was there any part of the approval process that was especially manual, repetitive, or difficult to prove?

it definitely slows down investment rounds bro... vc legal teams dig deep into where you got your training data during due diligence.

thanks for input, Im actually building a platform that helps companies understand and manage AI compliance by turning their AI features into structured risk assessment , required evidence and auidt-ready docs. I was looking for a validation, since I wasn't sure if this is painful enough problem worth solving

yeah man i have seen startups get stuck in legal limbo for months because they scraped copyrighted stuff for training. and to the op that is definitely a painful problem worth solving bro. enterprise buyers love automated compliance docs so they can pass audits faster.

awesome, hope I can catch one client someday, building stuff is the easiest part these days..

On my end, the delay wasn't entirely due to AI either. there were a few instances of indirect product image delays, but nothing major.
