AI can not replace me, I am great

What do you think about people who say these kind of things? How can they guarantee that AI can not replace them?

I will admit that I am using computers for the last 18 years, and AI can even write better articles than me, and it writes 80% of my projects in 6-7 programming languages now for me, and sometimes I just edit codes. If it is like this even now in 2023, we can not imagine what it is gonna be like in 5 to 10 years.

It can create content, ideas, music, codes, videos, 3d models, animations, art and images, it can write songs and lyrics. And I think these recent tech layoffs have definitely something to do with these improvements also. In my country, too many bosses started firing people too.

They just don't know the reality yet

The main difference is: you are capable of thinking!
Ai can only do, what it is supposed to do. Someone needs to provide some kind of input. In the end, ai is still a program which follows standard logic. Sure, in the meantime in a very complex manner, it has the ability to make great decisions, but it still needs some kind of operator

You do realise that humans are nothing more than biochemical, carbon-based AI right? Our output is only as good as our input.

Simple experiment, try to imagine a colour that doesn't exist currently. It can't be a lighter or darker shade of an existing colour. Create something completely and utterly unique.

Spoiler: You won't be able to. Why? Because we can't imagine anything without having an input to build it on. Which is exactly how AI works, as you said.

You are totally right, the brain itself, with all neurons, only understands binary.
But on a whole different level of complexity.
Another experiemt:

Sit down at your couch without direct input from anyone/anything else except your own thoughts and what you smell/see (i know, these are inputs as well. But as i wrote above on a different level).
You will start to realize that your thoughts will drift from one topic to another. Some go deeper, some are skipped depending on your personal config priorities/interest.
currently no ai is able to do so without getting simple input from someone/something.

Just my binary thoughts about it.

New business lines will arise. One job ends and another begins.

I don't understand why people are so panicked.
