Speaking to a family member currently studying at university in the UK, I was informed that a very high number of students are using AI to assist with their studies.

That said, do you think that AI is putting the essay mills and essay writing services out of action?

I wonder if the teachers could be using AI detection services since most of these texts are written and delivered digitally. If the text is like 100% AI detected by any tool like Originality or Hugging Face detector or whatever. Maybe mills will restructure to simply help pass the AI protocols in the future. I'm working with a guy that does exactly this for a very low fee. Easier work, probably even more profitable than the original writing itself.

In my personal opinion, AI should be used as a tool to enhance learning and not as a means to circumvent the educational process.

They are getting their assignments done with AI. This is a curse of AI actually.

Definitely is making it easy, basically they don't search or compare the result they just get the information and just send it, they will have zero critical thinking how they would evaluate, analyze and overcome a situation that step on their way they won't maybe yes or no but will lack of experience in many areas of their learning proces.
