Ahrefs Vs SEO Spyglass?

Spyglass seems to miss a lot of links but's it overall analysis of different link metrics is fantastic. Spyglass is also slow but it's gathering more metrics usually depending on how you have it configured. It still shocks me though how I find giant links in href's that just don't even show up in Spyglass.

I always use the Ahrefs, Majestic SEO and Open Site Explorer, all are good.

I've got to say Ahrefs, it's become an essential part of my toolbox!

ahrefs get you proper backlinks.. sometimes it may miss but all time :)

These both doesn't deserve to compare with each other. It doesn't make any sense! For me ahrefs is the best choice to check backlinks. Though you can use SEO Spy Glass to analyze backlinks or to make report on those links

I tried both and Ahrefs takes my vote. SEO Spy glass is still pretty good though.

I agree with the majority. Ahrefs is probably the best backlink tool.

With Ahrefs you will have to subscribe for their monthly packages. They have a free package available but is very limited. I believe you can get SEO Spyglass for free as they offer a free version of the software.

Ahrefs. But don't forget the links:yourdomain.c*m search operator on google too. This tends to be slow updating, and not comprehensive, but often turns up links that none of the ahrefs/majestic etc services produce...

If you are comparing Ahrefs and SEO Spyglass, I would personally recommend Ahrefs.

One thing I haven't noticed anyone say here, but I've experienced it many times especially with larger sites: Spyglass crashes. I'm running a brand new imac with a T3 internet connection in my office and it still manages to freeze up and die. In my opinion, it's a great tool to use for an import of URLs to double check the authority and what not of the links, but acquiring the links aHrefs does a much better job.

I also like to use Opensite Explorer as a x-reference for my "most powerful" links. I feel they're most effective in determining the key link factors.

I use ahrefs. Even that's not the best. Perfect world, you use a couple different sources.
I have some big links from About.com and Buzzfeed that aren't showing up in Ahrefs for some reason.

According to me, Priority #1 - Ahref's, Priority #2 - Opensiteexplorer, Priority #3 - SEO Spyglass

ahrefs but it's costly and monthly, seo spy glass less data but less monthly payment
