Alright this has been posted and asked many times but as time passes so does the development of these tools...

When it comes to building your SEO for your website, analysis.... basically everything you need as a in house SEO ....which of these tools would you advice if you had budget for only one of them??

Ahrefs. All. The. Time. most powerful tool.

Have everything. For comp. Research, for keywords, everything. Also DR is great metric.

Any shortcoming compared to the others ?

Moz is oldest but their crawler bots are slowest among all 3.
I used SEMRUSH only for keyword research
Majestic used to be #1 for backlink research but now Ahrefs has much biggest backlink database than Majestic and it can be also used for Keyword Research.

So my vote goes to AHREFS.

scratch moz off the list - you can now connect majestic to semrush for killer audits - I use all of them. semrush has really good historical domain rankings - great for lead gen

semrush alone would be enough to carry the work load.

ahrefs maybe not that cheap, but seriously, if you are serious about seo game - no competition for ahrefs.

Ahrefs cost money but I've got so much in return, its kept me from getting ripped off as well

sorry for multi posting, but it's great written. every fckn time when "the rain start" (lol), it keeps me updated and "healthy" (lollol).

Everybody says AHREFS but why though? What makes them have the edge over the rest??

You can spy your competitor, check their backlinks, keywords research, look at your keywords position/ movement/ new keywords and many more.

i can tell it's worth every penny.

I say, consider Ahrefs/Semrush or Majestic. those are good to go!

I'm also capable of doing that with moz....unless the argument here is... The data of moz, semrush, majestic are either not complete or outdated ?
