Hi guys, have you tried the paid version for both? Can't decide which one.

Or are there better services for these? Let me know -- thanks!

I trialled both and settled with Ahrefs. While Majestic is the more popular one, I just felt more confident in what ahrefs was telling me.

Their support is fairly good. I emailed them once with a concern, which they explained what was going on. Then like 2+ months later the same girl emailed me out of the blue to say they were about to roll an update that would improve the thing I have a concern with. That sort of service is just unheard of...

Anyways, great tool! I'm very happy with it :)
 
I'm using ahrefs paid version and for me is better than majesticseo.
 
I see, good thing I opted for the ahrefs service first. The interface and tools look very thorough! I guess I won't be availing the 7-day money back guarantee and get the annual payment instead.
 
Apparently I'm in the minority here, but I only use Majestic. I find the results are much more thorough compared to Ahrefs and other competitors.
 
For me I've never used majestic, but I use mainly opensiteexplorer and ahrefs. I personally prefer ahrefs, I feel like their database is much more up to date and reacts fast to changes.

I'm a long time subscriber to Majestic, while the data is sort of great and in more quantity, the UI isn't keeping up to date compared to ahrefs.
Ahrefs interface looks more modern and good overall overview of things and how they are shown.
So that's why I'm thinking about switching.
 
Been using Majestics for over a year now. Prefer it to ahrefs.
 
Majestic just has a more intuitive interface and their database is considerably bigger than ahrefs. Have used both before, and the number of links found on MSEO was significantly higher than ahrefs.

EDIT: Crap, didn't see the post date. Who on earth bumped this thread back up?!
 
Ahrefs is newer, therefor their base is smaller. But ahrefs bot is very aggressive and powerful for collecting fresh links
 
I'd like to see a comparison between the two paid versions on 3 to 5 different websites. Even just a simple count of the backlinks from each would be interesting, i.e. Majestic found 167 backlinks for site "A", while aHrefs found 175, and compare these numbers between sites A through E. Maybe one consistently finds more than the other?
 
ahrefs hands down...

TIP -- if you have dynamic IP then you can keep switching the IP and you will get endless use per day !!!
 
I looked at both. I don't care much about customer service, UI...

What matters to me is who has the DATA? I think majestic has a lot more data in their database. That is enough for me.

Sure they may have "more data", but most of that extra data is irrelevenat. They dont update their results as fast as ahrefs unfortunately. Ive had links showing on majestic that were taken down over a year ago. Thats just nonsense.

Truth be told Im really not impressed with either ahrefs or majestic but ahrefs is the best of the two.
