Ahrefs vs. Majestic RDs

Majestic determine topic (same as Google) from backlinks / linking pages, not from site content - as you think.
So, if any site have fake backlinks, the topic is usually wrong.

In which place I've posted, that this tool determine topic from site content?

Btw... Google do it not only with backlinks / linking pages, but also with content...

2) Ahrefs it's product for the beginners which never will beat 2 products used by professionals: Majestic + Semrush for many reasons.

Srsly - you made my day now :D Ahrefs > ................. nothing for a long, long time .............. > majestic and other tools.

Ahrefs > nothing for a long, long time > majestic and other tools.

It's exactly what I said previously - Ahrefs is very good for beginners.
Because it's cheap and offer some KW data + some BL data.

But mentioned KW data is not that good as in Semrush
and BL data (without TRUST and TOPICS) is not enough for professional purpose (especially when we talking about effectivity in large scale).

However Ahrefs have pretty nice UI,
but the UI is not the thing, for which professionals spending money.

Even I don't want to compare API - where Ahrefs together with Moz will be knocked out in the first round.

Cheers, Greg.

Still - I won't agree. I've been working on all mentioned tools for years and still - imho - Ahrefs is the best (especially when we are talking about BL's database and creating own domain rank).

especially when we are talking about BL's database ...

Can you make the screenshot for Ebay.com and post in this thread please ?
I would like to see, this "BL's database" in this case.

Also, if Ahrefs working for you enough good, there is no reason to change it.
But it not changing the fact, that Ahrefs don't have TF and TTF and just for this reason is completely useless for me.

Because how you can predict real BL power without one of the most important metric used in NEW Pagerank?
It's just impossible.

100 RD with 0% trust giving in result Pagerank 0
Same 100 RD with 100% trust, can give for example PageRank 4

For this reason, counting just number of RD haven't any sense.
But this is exactly what Ahrefs and Moz doing to calculate DR or DA.

Cheers, Greg.

1 - read carefuly about new, updated DR calculation, before you judge

2 - TF and TTF - it's still kind of outside metrics. Nothing compares to manual, skilled SEO's review.

1a) Only 2 links are needed from fresh created profiles at domain with high DR to increase this "metric" from 0 to 47
1b) Google NEW Pagerank evaluate mentioned links as much as single drop in ocean.
1c) Examples above confirming how much useless is DR and by this - any mentioned by you theories aren't confirmed in practice.

2a) TF and TTF aren't ideal but for sure 100x better than DR, because at first working at url level, same as in Google.
2b) You aren't able to compare manual sites, because it need also check all linking pages and all links to those linking pages, etc.
2c) And even with mentioned above sentence, you aren't able to correct valuate TF or TTF.

You should more doing instead of reading fairy tales and repeating the myths.

PS. Still I am waiting for Ebay.com screenshot from Ahrefs.

Cheers, Greg.

Here you go, mentioned SS:

1a) yes, it's true, but DR it's not only 1 statistic, you get from Ahrefs and should be considered at judging site value
1b) not true at all; they are really useful in bigger strategy for many kind of sites (if you use them well)
1c) I am not the one from theoretic SEO's making "amazing milion $ worth trainings", so maybe don't judge, if you don't know me at all?

2a) it depends how you using all Ahrefs potential
2b) I mean here manual review of single site using ahrefs, not using batch mode, for example (which shows often kinda different metrics, than "raw" domain check)
2c) not even single tool can valuate that, what is most important - how valuable is the domain in google eyes; that's why I've mentioned about "raw" check

"You should more doing instead of reading fairy tales and repeating the myths." - look point 1c)

@Mysterious Stranger

1a) Google valuate the site at URL level not domain, so Ahrefs DR (same as Moz DA) only confusing people about any keyword for any given url.
As the results, Ahrefs users aren't able to evaluate their chance to any given keyword.
Additionaly they don't know the "topic" and "trust" which use Google.

1b) If link not increasing the search visibility, usually is worth nothing, because I am not the collector of useless backlinks.
Also I don't like wasting the time and money for low effective "strategy" with such links.

1c) I told you that "updated DR calculation" is useless same as was before, so no matter that it was even updated.
If you not using TF and TTF but useless DR your effectivity is pretty low for the all reasons above and I am not writing about You, but your methods.

2a) No matter how you using Ahrefs, it don't have TF and TTF which Google use.
As I wrote earlier, Ahrefs it's product for beginners, because for $100 you have some KW and some BL data plus pretty nice UI.

2b) Lets think what you are able to achieve by "manual check"
- you aren't able to valuate PR
- you aren't able to valuate TF
- you aren't able to valuate TTF
Only you're able to say if site look good or not.

But Google algorithm don't care about how site look, it care how much any site is useful for users.
Happy users share the links which increasing PageRank, which confirming this value, same as traffic.
So, in summary such "review" is not worth too much, just wasted time which costs money.

2c) You're wrong. Please check NEW PageRank patent and compare it to how Majestic creating TF.
Of course it never will be exactly same, but it's more than enough good in most cases.

Cheers, Greg.

According to those words I could say, you really don't know what you are talking about.

"Happy users share the links" - pretty fairy tales mostly (yeah, I see, how users massive share links from niche porno sites, from example - and yet, they are still ranking well)

"If link not increasing the search visibility" - even (how you call them) "useless backlinks" used properly can achieve that goal.

Using those "low quality bl's" I can rank fresh website without history, get organic traffic and kw's, etc. And... I am doing it whole time. So please, leave the fairy tales in books.

Oh really ?

Show me then the Google patent where is explained how "site design" affecting ranking instead of repeat the fairy tales.
I am pretty sure that you are not able to do it, because it simple not exists, not in Google patents, not in Google algorithm.

In compare to you, I am learning from Google patents and as software engineer I am exactly understand how it working.
But you repeating only the myths, which you learned on some blogs, such Neil Patel blog.

But is not the end, by my crawling system I am exactly see on global scale, which method of building PBN working, which not - or with very low effectivity. What you can compare here ? Few your adult sites? Don't be funny please, especially here:
"useless backlinks" used properly can achieve that goal

You're not able to understand, that Google evaluate the links by PageRank, for this reason mentioned by you "properly usage" its just your huge imagine.
Just by 2 free links anybody can make the fools from Ahrefs users, because mentioned links increasing Ahrefs DR from 0 to 47,

but not affecting Google ranking at all - because not affecting Google PageRank.
So, your "properly used useless backlinks" are useful for purpose of increasing Ahrefs DR, but not the Google ranking.
Even Moz DA is not that simple to manipulate as Ahrefs DR.

Also as I told you and what your screenshot from Ebay.com confirmed - Majestic have at least 2x bigger BL index than Ahrefs.
So, as I told you too - You only repeating not confirmed myths.

Cheers, Greg.

Majestic required google search console to track ranking . How can we say they are having more database.

You even don't understand what you talking about. Because we talking about Backlinks index not the keyword index.
Next time, please ready more careful. Also there are much better tools to track ranking than Ahrefs, Majestic don't have any KW data.

Ahrefs are the universal tool and good for beginners who are not use it for professional purpose,
especially at large scale and for high SEO effectivity.

For the beginners - Ahrefs it's really good choice,
because it have BL and KW data together for just $100

Cheers, Greg.

You even don't understand what you talking about. Because we talking about Backlinks index not the keyword index.
I am very much aware of what i am talking, if they have dont have own database for keyword which is main in any business why should we prefer that.

I am very much aware of what i am talking...
On below examples, for sure you don't know what you wrote:
... for BL ahref is king
Majestic have at least 2x bigger BL index than Ahrefs
And I'll repeat once again - BL it's the Backlinks index, not the keyword index.
So, if Majestic have 2x bigger BL index - Ahrefs can't be the king in this case - you still not able to understand it as I see.

Cheers, Greg.

Sir. You are tripping the fuckoutta this world.

ahrefs has the biggest backlink database and you cant fight that.

stop reading bullshit reviews from the Gurus which were paid god knows how much money to rank SEMRush as TOP in their reviews.

Even Woodwards states that his review is somehow false since if he compared the historic data its unfair to others (Ahrefs vs Every other tool)

nothing is compared to Ahrefs, their database contains much more than you think and state.

TTF is bullshit. They have it just to have something that other tools dont. Its set by it backlinks not by real content. For example im im Health niche and i have alot of Health related backlinks, but those sites gathered links from other places. For example a Tech site writing about health while gaming etc. so they are automatically becoming TECH in the Topic, which is total bullshit.

Please... put your self together, you are making alot of ppl KEK At ya.

Keyword wise, Ahrefs has the freshest kw database. More links > more new keywords

The only bad thing about Ahrefs is the DR which sometimes is false. But you know how to read the profile, its all good.

@FatBee

Maybe you not finished any school and for this reason it's very hard to you compare really big numbers such:

8 485 618 151 026 Majestic pages in index
149 000 000 000 Ahrefs pages in index

And OK, Ahrefs in your opinion have biggest index, mr mathematic/seo guru FatBee
In reality you are not able even to compare such big numbers, what you confirmed.

Really, I am tired from such beginners who repeating only the myths.
Because I am based on facts not the fake propaganda as you love.

For all the rest of stupidity in your post, even I don't want to waste time to comment, because it's much more than really funny,
without any confirmation in reality, as on example above.

And Yes, for people like you was created DR and DA.

Cheers, Greg.
