My Ahrefs traffic is showing 2,700 per month while in reality Google Analytics is recording 10k+ per month. Is there any way to get Ahrefs to get more accurate? It's ruining my profit potential with advertisers.

It’s common for Ahrefs to show lower traffic than Google Analytics due to different tracking methods. To improve accuracy in Ahrefs, ensure your site’s robots.txt or noindex tags aren't blocking Ahrefs' crawlers, and check if your Google Analytics data is set up correctly. Also, consider submitting your site to Ahrefs for a more thorough crawl. However, for more accurate reporting to advertisers, it's often best to share Google Analytics data directly. Thanks!

Thank you! I'll take a look

Ahrefs traffic is just an estimation based on the keywords volume(s) and ranking position(s),
It's either ahrefs is not considering some/multiple of your ranking keywords, and/or wrong CTR(s) based on the ranking position(s),

You can connect your website GSC to ahrefs,
I believe that allows them to get more accurate data about the organic traffic,
Nothing much to do about the other (direct, social, etc...) traffic tho, as far as I'm concerned

Sometimes it shows more, sometimes it shows less and sometimes its wrong by a whole dimension. Its just a heuristic but can be improved by linking.

You may also check similarweb or semrush, if they give you more favorable traffic stats

Ahrefs estimates traffic based on keyword rankings, while Google Analytics tracks actual visits, so discrepancies are normal. Try connecting Ahrefs with GA data or focus on showing advertisers your GA numbers for a more accurate picture.

Teach them to conduct professional business. You can give access anytime of day to your google analytics, where they can clearly see your real traffic. Your advertisers need to learn that any bot of tools like ahrefs, semrush, similiarweb can be blocked by site’s owner.

There's no way Ahrefs and GA are the same. GA is more accurate, so show GA numbers to your customers/advertisers.

Ahrefs provides traffic estimates based on keyword rankings and search volumes, which can differ from actual visits tracked by Google Analytics. These discrepancies are normal since Ahrefs relies on estimations and may not account for all ranking keywords or accurate click-through rates. For a clearer picture, you can connect Google Search Console to Ahrefs to improve organic traffic accuracy, but other traffic sources like direct or social visits won’t be reflected. For precise data, especially when dealing with advertisers, relying on Google Analytics is recommended.

Ahrefs estimates traffic from keyword rankings, while Google Analytics tracks real visits, so some discrepancies are expected. Consider linking Ahrefs with GA data or highlight your GA numbers to advertisers for a clearer view.

Ahrefs estimates traffic based on keyword rankings and CTR models, so it's often lower than actual GA data. You could try connecting Google Search Console to Ahrefs for better accuracy, but advertisers usually trust GA more anyway.

Google Analytics provides real user data, it tracks actual visits, behavior, and conversions on your website using tracking code.

Ahrefs provides estimated organic traffic based on your keyword rankings, their estimated search volume, and click through rates for those keywords.

Ahrefs doesn’t track real visitors, it models what your traffic might look like based on its data.

Some people think Ahrefs shows exact traffic numbers, but it’s just an estimate or assumption, useful for comparing websites or tracking changes over time, but not for exact traffic/vistors.

You should rely on Google Analytics for real traffic data, and use Ahrefs for SEO analysis, keyword tracking, and traffic estimates.

Provides estimated data, while Google Analytics provides accurate real-time data. The difference is due to Ahrefs' tracking limitations.
Solution: Use Google Search Console and GA4 to convince advertisers with evidence, and cross-check with Ahrefs' API or other tools.

Ahref has it's own method of measuring traffic but i have faced and solved problem you're facing for myself and a few friends and our Ahref Traffic is significantly high now... this is purely under our control now we can increase it as much as we want, one of my website has 100K+ Ahref traffic

I tried his method, the guy saying he can artificially increase ahref traffic

Ahrefs is an estimate.
Use Google Analytics for real traffic numbers.
Thanks!
