Ahrefs Removing Free Access

I would much rather have one mid-value $200 per month customer than ten low-quality $20 per month customers.
The thing is, you don't own ahrefs. Or do you?

That's good timing I think our subscription comes to an end this month or maybe next. We have the lite for our site and it offers too much for what we need. I always thought they should offer a basic or something with half the features at half the cost. Like the 10k pages for us is overkill on the crawl limit.

In fact id rather them do a scalable payment structure. Spend out $300 p.a and then add an extra 1000 page searches for $50, add more keywords for $100 etc. Id much rather buy into something like that.

Hopefully, their structure is a little more friendly towards those that only occasionally use their tools. I am a fan of their resources, but they are very expensive for what I get out of them.

I have no problem to pay for quality tools anyway.

Are the free account that have been registered before that date will remain ?

You must provide your valid email address, and any other information requested in order to complete subscription process. You must provide a valid email address to become a Registrant. Your login may only be used by one person - a single login shared by multiple people is not permitted. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. Ahrefs cannot and will not be liable for any loss or damage from your failure to comply with this security obligation.

Greedy fuckers, all seo tools are overpriced. Max i can afford is 10$/month so seogroupbuy is the best solution for now

That sucks, then they should make an "beginner" or "basic" plan with 10+ searches per day etc. for 10/15 bucks per month.
Exactly what I think... They should start a Basic plan.

I see the logic.

But then again, many of those low-quality guys are like me. We are newish to the game and working hard. Within a few more months two of them will likely upgrade as their workload does.
So now you have three $200 a month customers thanks to the exposure they had to a great tool?

The problem with Ahrefs is: Its all or nothing.

Who wants to spend $70+ for a tool, which you are using just a few times per day? Me for example use it only a few times per week. Yes, they provide awesome quality and great insights, but its just not worth it for me, because I use it so less. How much would I pay for my actually usage? $20 per month.

Another option is they could just make an option with "tokens" or "credits", which you can charge in order to get more searches.
