Ahrefs have confirmed this month they are removing free access to the tool.

Previously if you signed up for a package or a trial, you retained very limited access for free, however it seems they are now going to remove this and make the tool 100% paid only access to data.

Yep, but as I understood, they will have a subscriber package, they did not reveal another detail but something more pocket friendly.

I guess a new BHW service can come up as all don’t need Ahrefs data everyday, and if the seller prices it as 5 -30$ for unlimited weekly reports he can earn a lot that’s the only good I see from this. I don’t like Ahrefs decision but there’s nothing we can do about it.

Damn, that sucks big time. I only need a few searches a day, for me it's not worth buying the full thing every month.

And what do they have now? They already have subscriber packages so what will be different?

This should be the last nail in their coffin. It was already so damn overpriced. Grrr...:devil:
Right.. Ahrefs is one of the best tools out there used by million dollar companies and thousands of marketers.

Just use their trial when you need it and use the shit out of it and repeat.

I know what you are talking about. My previous post was more sort of a curse than anything. No wonder Ahref is one of the best tools out there. They are making sure to take full advantage of it, unfortunately. For me who does not have 1000 links to check everyday, the $99/m is damn overpriced; but I agree that for a seo professional; it is totally essential to have an ahref account.
Like @Siddhie55 mentioned, I would love to see a bst for this. It will help people like me, immensely.

they will have a cheaper package, like for 10usd per month or something like that

For someone who just need few research per day. It's expensive.
If they add cheaper package it can be really great.

SEO is becoming more competitive and saturated, some of my clients are just 100% focusing on paid advertising now as result from SEO are so little. And there's always more tools being released, you'd think ahrefs would start to lower their prices.

I also struggle to see why I would continue to use if they keep increasing their prices.

Seems like all SEO tools have gone almost totally paid.

Problem is they are extortionately priced.

That's the real problem. It's completely fine they ask for a subscription to sustain their business, the problem is they are charging us like we are all fortune 500 companies. lol

I noticed that trial was also limited as you may do some limited requests in a day.
