Ahrefs rank DROP on new domain

Hello everyone,

I've started a new niche site on a free and clean domain (chekced the history and previous backlink profile everything was ok)

Initially in ahrefs it had something about 15M rank and DR > 10 from scratch without any backlinks added. Then I've added one do-follow link to one of my other niche site which has pretty good rankins and organic traffic.
After a couple of days, I've decided to remove this link (no other links were at that moment built) because of personal reasons. But suddenly after a couple of days, my ahrefs rank dropped by 150M DOWN and DR went to 0.3!!!. Now I have recovered it a little bit, by adding new links but still, those low numbers of DR are frustrating me.

But I'm wondering could that link removal make harm to SEO and why ahrefs rank dropped so much? Any help appreciated.

Ahrefs overview tab does not update that frequently. Either way you have a new site and you should be working on growing it, don't look at some numbers from Ahrefs, especially in such an early stage. Whether it's DR 10 or DR 0.1, it's still a weak site that needs to be improved.
