Hi, I have Ahrefs report of my competitors. Now what to do with this info? How it can help me to run more traffic? I can use same backlinks, or make anchor text same as competitors but what the big reason of it? Isn't it better to use FB or adwords without all these complications, or I missing some?

Check what type of links they're using to rank, then replicate them, or one up them

I think you misunderstood the reports' purpose. You can use the report to know your competitors strength, so you can tell yourself, "if my site want to be as big as (or bigger than) them, I should do this and that". You have raw grasp of your niche/keywords choices.

You also can look at where their backlinks profile come from, and if possible replicate them to be used on your site.

If you use Ads (Fb and Google ads), you will "fight" them through paid channel, not organic one (SEO). And it will only last as long as you money to burn.

If you want more traffic, you should make a better content that give your reader a better value than them. You also can copy their keywords to use on your content.

There are 2 different things here:
- ahrefs is for SEO in other words organic traffic from google, so called free traffic,
- FB or adwords is PPC, or paid traffic.

So if you use ahrefs it is mostly for SEO: find your competitor backlinks, anchors, keywords, etc. You can do many things with ahrefs, it is very powerful, but only if you are doing SEO. If you want to rank higher in google, then ahrefs can help but this requires quite some grind.

Ahrefs have amazing guides on how to get the best out of their tool. See Ahrefs Academy.
