I need your thoughts about your experience on using these two tools, usual question => which is best? unusual = why your chosen one is best?

don't mind, feels like making an order.

anyways, will appreciate your input on this.

Thanks

For what purpose ? Majestic is more valuable overall.

For what purpose ? Majestic is more valuable overall.

i want to get every single backlink of the competitors, i want to get best details about the value that each backlink provides to thier site.

PS : people above you are giving one word type answer only.

Both of these companies gave me free full accounts. Ahrefs was only for a year. Majestic gave me a continuous free account.

I like Ahrefs interface better but I think Majestic has better analytics. Ahrefs has been posting blog posts from lame SEOs, so I wish they would stop chasing the blowhards. But overall, their tool is great for visuals and a lot of times customers only care about pretty numbers and spreadsheets.

Majestic is probably better for hardcore analytics guys. I'm biased since they let me keep my account though!

It's pretty simple to answer this with few words but here is more details.
Ahrefs will return more backlinks than Majestic will.
Majestic has 2 neat metrics people like, TF/CF both can be manipulated though. Not accurate either seeing that Majestic can't crawl all links of a site.

Why limit yourself to only one or the other? Find a group buy for these and have both. Clean/Quality/authoritative backlinks is all that matters, don't chase metrics which can be manipulated to fool you.

Both of the tools has it's own set of usefulness. I use ahrefs when I need to analyze a larger set of links as it has the largest index of backlinks in my all experiences so far.

On the other hand, I value Majestic just for one thing - it's ability to really try it's best in describing what a domain is worth with it's Trust Flow and Citation Flow (TF/CF) metrics.

Ahrefs rank means nothing when it comes to establishing the worth and value of domain whereas if TF/CF ratios are good (provided a decent backlink profile), that makes me quite confident.

So in essence, both the tools has it's own uses. It's like asking what's better, tanks on the ground or F-16 in the air. ;)

For backlink checking ahrefs is better.

I'd vote for ahrefs. I had a far better backlink checker but even with ahrefs I can't completely disavow links as it should. For example I got links in webmasters that ahrefs do not show but cognitiveSEO(another service) shows them. I guess you need multiple services in order to be updated at all times with the correct informations.

Ahrefs. Majestic has less legit links indexed overall, even if they claim otherwise. They count 301 loops and bot traps a lot. Majestic is more liberal in the frequency of checks if that counts for something.

Majestic : Nice overall , mostly for those who are scraping domains and relying on their tf/cf metrics but can be OK for marketers in order to determine the topic of a link
the only thing I don't like from majestic is the fact that their crawlers do not reach all the links in contrary to ahrefs that in most of cases will show all the links a website has
ofc if the crawlers are not being blocked

Both, i don't like the way majestic calculates the TF like separte for www.domain.com and domain.com, that is really anoying when it comes to checking for domains but if you have both you wont nbe missing alot of backlinks

Ahrefs is really good. You can track backlinks easily and very detailed.
