Ahrefs lite vs standard

I've been hearing bad stuff about ahrefs these days like you need to pay tokens to use services even after subscribing to these packages. My question is is ahrefs lite still worth it or should I just move on to ahrefs standard or even a newer tool that is SEMRush?

I have the lite plan and it serves me pretty well. I don’t use it tonnes but I do make a few queries every day whether it’s searching for domain backlinks, organic keyword research from competitors or keeping an eye on the rankings of sites that I manage. Never noticed any problem with lite, been using it for 1 year +

I would like to buy a standard plan for doing analysis to purchase eexpired domains. Is it really worth buying now?

Okay. I heard some negative reviews about Ahrefs after they upgraded their plans. I think even @splishsplash once said bad things about their service. However, from your experience, can you say if Ahrefs alone is a sufficient tool to find quality expired domains?
