Ahrefs: How long do backlinks/ DR take to update?

Thanks for having me here. I hope you're all well.

I've started SEO about 6 weeks ago, and have been guest posting so far in order to build backlinks. Thanks to this forum, I've just found a free way to check DR on Ahrefs. I know it shouldn't matter, as it's just metrics, but for someone starting out, I think it's important my efforts so far.

This being said, and just because I'm curious, how long do backlinks take to show on Ahrefs, and how long does it take for DR to update based on this?

I have 15 or so backlinks in the past 6 weeks, only a certain portion of them are showing. Is this normal?

If DR isn't the best measure, what is? I'm curious to understand how people track their SEO efforts. I saw a few posts around tracking in Search Console, what exactly do you track?

Links will only show in Ahrefs once the site's been crawled by Ahrefs.

some links are on MOZ and those links are not in Ahrefs yet..It doesn't matter.
