Ahrefs Backlinks VS. Googles Backlinks....How Close Are The Numbers?

I was wondering if anyone has compared the numbers of Ahrefs Backlinks to what Google has for backlinks on your site in webmasters tools dashboard??

I was thinking of subscribing to Ahrefs but I wanted to see how close they are to Google's numbers first.

I pulled all my sites out of Google webmaster tools after the first Panda update so I cant check this out for myself.

Any help is greatly appreciated.....

Im sure alot of people here would love to know the numbers also...

I was just chatting with Ahrefs support and they said they have over 32,000,000,000 backlinks in their database, total!!

One website of mine: 477,929 backlinks through google webmaster tools, 87700 through ahrefs. Referring domains: at ahrefs about half of what GWT shows.
So there is a huge difference. This one didn't even use much, if any bulk linkbuilding. I suppose ahrefs would have even more trouble finding those bulk, hardly indexed blackhat links.
