I’m currently using Ahrefs, but I’m wondering if there’s something more budget-friendly that still gets the job done. I mainly use it for keyword research, competitor backlink checks, and occasional site audits. I’m not running a huge agency, so I feel like I’m paying for way more features than I actually need. Before I renew again, I’d love to hear what you’re using instead. Anything solid for backlinks and keyword research that doesn’t cost a fortune?

There isn't really anything cheaper. Similar web, semrush and ahrefs are it. Hopefully your producing results and content based on all this money your spending? If not then you should downgrade to the free ahrefs. Thats what i have. I don't feel i need anything more. I don't care about other peoples backlinks or keywords. I just care about mine.

Try SEMrush or Ubersuggest - they're cheaper than Ahrefs but still solid for keyword research and backlink checks. Mangools (KWFinder + LinkMiner) is another budget-friendly option with good SEO tools without overwhelming extras.

to be honest there are other tools but Ahrefs and SEMrush give the best result than using a cheaper tools that wont wont give you the result you want

I’ve tried cheaper tools instead of Ahrefs. Ubersuggest and Moz give good keyword ideas and backlink info for less money. Google Search Console also helps for free. They are not as deep, but enough for normal SEO work without paying too much.

Unfortunately, no. There are cheaper alternatives, of course, but the quality drops significantly. That’s why I personally stick with Ahrefs.

If you can’t afford a full subscription, there are services that sell temporary or shared access. It’s cheaper, but less convenient and technically violates Ahrefs’ terms of service.
You could also try contacting Ahrefs support to ask about a discount or custom terms. I once received a free month for testing software that integrated with Ahrefs. They might be willing to accommodate you - it’s worth reaching out and explaining your situation.

For your needs, Ahrefs is probably the most optimal choice. When it comes to finding competitors’ backlinks, no other tool does it better than Ahrefs.

I've got a soft spot for Serpstat which is cheaper, though Ahrefs is always going to be the best all-rounder. If it's mainly keyword research you're after, you might be better off trying Spyfu. They have backlink data too.

Depends on your use case. If you dig deep into AHREFS and understand the filters and how powerful they can be; nothing compares (IMO).

Tools like SE Ranking, Mangools, Ubersuggest, or SpyFu give good keyword research + backlink data at a fraction of Ahrefs’ cost.

You can have ahrefs cheaper if you join a groupbuy or share an account with someone

You can go with Mangools it’s cheaper than Ahrefs and still solid for keyword research and backlink checks.

You can buy Semrush guru accounts in marketplace for way cheaper than ahrefs. It's the best option for your use case.

try mangools or ubersuggest for cheaper keyword research and backlink checks they cover basics good without big cost.

Semrush is one option. It is cheaper as well.
