i use both ahrefs and SEMrush everyday.., ahrefs is overpriced and only good for analysing backlinks.
if SEMrush improved it's backlinks analysis, it would be the best by far.

ahrefs is the best! Only problem is it's a bit overpriced, but love their reporting. Definitely worth it and I always use it when I do an SEO audit on one of my own sites or for clients. Definitely pays for itself in terms of insights you can get from the tool.
Definitely try the free trial of ahrefs, you'll probably be hooked after the 14 days.

Ahrefs does the job for me. There are also some features in SEMrush which are not available on ahrefs. So it all comes down to your personnel preferences.
