Long time lurker and reader, finally coming out of my shell as of the last day and posting around a bit. For a long while (since around 2006) I was doing some various forms of what they usually call "Freebie Trading" (Project Payday/Incent Trials/IFWs/etc) but as we all know, the incentive market has changed a lot over the years and it's much more difficult to find a large selection of free trial offers that pay well AND accept incent traffic. I've always wanted to branch out into other methods of marketing but I just have never been able to get anything to "click" with me like the freebie industry did. For example, back in 2006 when I discovered the freebie/incent industry, it just instantly made perfect sense to me as I was reading a blog about it. I instantly knew I could make it work where others had failed, and I jumped right in. In a short time, I became one of the top performers on one of the top trading forums while the industry was hot, and even learned how to build Bash and AutoHotkey scripts from scratch that helped me accelerate my earnings ten fold at the time. From there, I eventually became a site owner myself and had great success for a number of years. It was actually fun teaching myself new scripts and finding other ways to expand in that scene, and I miss it both for the profit and because of how enjoyable it was for me. Anyway, I've run into some financial issues lately and some other events have taken place that basically tell me it's time to make that next leap - something brand new to me that I can understand very easily with NO marketing knowledge at all when it comes to today's methods and terms. I browse these forums and I am amazed at the level of intelligence and creativity I see here, but it all still just seems kind of jumbled to me. Every thread I open, I see terms and abbreviations that I'm clueless as to the meanings of. I need to find that one super basic, quick start-up method that I can look at, and it just instantly "clicks" with me; something I'll know for a fact I can make work and take to the extreme just like I did back in 2006. Even though I know next to nothing about IM right now, I'm an incredibly fast learner, I have literally all day to be online, and I have been told that my ability to write and speak proper English could be a big help for me but I'm not sure yet how to put my skills to use to generate any income with basically no investment. Even if I could generate a measly $10 a day to start, I'd be golden and could see myself working up from that starting point easily. This marks the official beginning of a journey I have been thinking about for quite some time, and I hope to have some great experiences here and learn what my next path(s) is/are in the world of making money online. My hope is to be able to make at least $10 a day within the next month, and within the next year be able to share how I've scaled up to much higher figures, step by step. I see people talking about six figure incomes being obtainable with the right amount of effort and drive, and that's damn impressive... not to mention very motivating. Well that's my story of how I got here and where I'm at mentally. I welcome any and all advice or tips that might help someone like me accelerate through this learning curve!
