As a thank you to BHW and its members for 10 years worth of laughs knowledge and occasional arguments this is the 2nd thread that will maybe help some of you find, get and keep clients. This thread covers cold emails you can send to potential leads. I hope the information presented below will be useful to some of you.

2. Cold Emails

EMAIL 1

Subject: Introduction: {{your full name}} / {{your company}}

Hi {{firstname}},
I came across your company and I really like the angle you take. I’d like to chat with you1.

My background2 is in generating long-term growth for companies like yours. I have an idea how you could implement these strategies and create a long-term, predictable source of revenue for your business.

It’s not that hard, but there are a few critical steps that a lot of people mess up3.

Can I share? Your reply with just a Yes or No4 will be much appreciated. It will only take 5 minutes5.

Your Name
555-555-5555
[link]Your Company[/link]
123 Street Name

P.S. If you aren’t the right person to contact about this please let me know. If you’d rather I not follow up, you can let me know that too!6

Explanation.
1. Tell them why you're writing
2. Tell them what you do briefly
3. Create doubt in their mind about their current plan/strategy/idea.
4. Very low bar to reply
5. Low time commitment
6. Simple CanSpam compliance. Higher probability to get in touch with the right person.

Hi {{firstname}},

I'm following up on my previous email with a free tool I think you'll love.

It's a brand analysis survey I created just for you (literally, your name is on it2), that will help you understand how your practice is different from other {{individuals}} in {{insert city they're in}}.

Click here to begin the brand differentiation analysis survey. When we speak, I'll benchmark your responses against the top {{industry}} brands around the country.

I'm sharing my calendar (click here) so we can schedule a convenient time to discuss.

Subject: sorry about this...

Hi {{first name}},

I’m sorry we haven’t been able to connect. Again, I know how hectic things can get at work and with family.

I would be available for a call during weekends or before or after work hours if that’s easier for you. I don’t mean to bug you, but I do want to help you {{insert custom goals}}.

EMAIL 4

Subject: abducted by aliens1

Hi {{first name}},

I’ve tried to reach you a few times to go over suggestions on improving ___, but haven’t heard back which tells me one of three things:

1) You’re all set with ____ and I should stop bothering you.

2) You’re still interested but haven’t had the time to get back to met yet.

3) You’ve been abducted by aliens and in that case, let me know and I’ll call someone to help you ASAP!

Please let me know which one as I’m starting to worry!

Best,

EMAIL 5

Subject: Permission to close your file1?

Hi {{first name}},

I’m writing to follow up. We are in the process of closing files this month. Typically when I haven’t heard back from someone it means they are either really busy or aren’t interested. If you aren’t interested do I have permission to close your file?

If you are still interested, what do you recommend as a next step?

Thanks for your help.

Regards,

1. Final attempt.

What email do you get most replies from?
Recently I haven't had the reason to seek new leads. But when I did usually 3rd email got a reply

How do you suggest I send cold mails, what platform?

There are many platforms you can use. I never used any thirdparty, because I didnt send out 100s of emails every day. My emails were very targetted

Nice, maybe next time you do that also make a guide on how you seek leads, that might help other people starting out.

Nice one. And what do you use to scrape leads, scrapebox?

Thanks for sharing this,

I think I'll use the first one, what is the opening rate?
