Hi,

I found a great aged domain of almost 20 years. It is an exact match of a popular keyword but the DA/PA/TF are very low. I checked at Archived.com and it seems there was always a website there.

My question is: is a good DA/PA/TF more important then domain age? If so, why is that?

Links are whats important, not the metrics. Check the link profile in Ahrefs, see if there are good links, if yes - go for it.

There's a lot of value in domain age and the domain's name. I've had great success with aged domains that had no existing links.

I don't really think Google puts a lot of weight in the age of the domain. Of course, it's better if you the site was live and added new content regularly but otherwise it doesn't matter IMHO.

For example, you can rank keywords for local businesses with a brand new domain in a month, and defeat 5 years old domain.
