What about the age value? Aged blogs are given value by Google. That is a very important parameter now as Google does not like new blogs at all now.

A hobby site made on Lycos in the early 00s definitely has the age, but it has 0 authority so no matter how old it is, it still has no value.
Why do people pay high for aged domains then ?
People pay a lot for aged domains if the name is good, otherwise, they shouldn't. Expired domains are another story. They are valued for their ranking, and link profile measure these, and because they allow you to skip the sandbox phase.
Yes, aged blogs is better, but metrics are also important, they will definitely add some juice, but no one can say which one without seeing the blogs. Blogs that haven't been used for SEO are usually better.
Most of hobby blogs will follow under this category.
This would really be no different to registering expired 2.0’s as far as Google is concerned.
