After 7 MONTHS , dancing around 2nd/3rd PAGE on GOOGLE(Backlink Profile & Anchor Text)

Hi, I'm member here since 2014 , but actively started to use forum since 8-9 months .


Fair enough to say that I learned about 50 % of my SEO knowledge(can call myself as on level after Newbie to SEO) here.


I don't know why I gave some mini-interview before asking my question, but anyway.


I started an amazon website on August, and achieved to fill the website with 20 product-reviews, 3 brand article after 3 months despite to fact that
I knew 0 about creating an affiliate website from scratch.

My question is : Which methods(or services that you can recommend) would you use to bump rankings into 1st Page on Google ?

Here is my Anchor Text Ratio according to Majestic (it calculated 184 backlinks from 44 referring domains).


And here is my backlink profile(it shows the links that I bought(mostly from BHW Marketplace))


NOTE : All my articles are 1k + words, contain images, videos. I think , my content is good enough.

Also I used the method of Leith and added 8 blog posts articles(500 ~ 600 words) for interlinking my reviews. For Topical Relevancy.

Now only 3 of my keywords( 400 MS, 880 MS , 880 MS) are on the TOP 10.

My competition level : Almost for all keywords(Long tails , 400 ~ 4k MS ) ,

I have :
1 ~ 2 amazon product page ,
1 youtube video related to product,

And rest of them are ECommerce Websites( they say that it's hard to outrank, but last month, I outranked them for 1 ~ 2 days ).

For my knowledge, I detected 2 problems.

From ON-Site SEO aspect : Maybe , I should increase the amount of articles to create a topical relevancy for my niche( as far as I know, ecommerce websites has good topical relevancy).

From OFF-Site SEO aspect : I didn't buy the strong links for my level of competition, and I used mostly Generic&Brand&Naked urls for my backlink profile. Probably, it's ok to use non-EMD anchors for Foundation links such as Web 2.0, Blog Comments , Press Releases and etc. But now I realized that, I should consider to use EMD anchors for my powerful links.

Despite the fact that , I just asked one question , I wanted to make it as clear as possible to get right solution.

Why don't you focus on creating a few PBNs to make those sting back links yourself? If you want a guaranteed way to out rank your competitors PBNs are the way to go. Also you can make Web 2.0 pbns, Leith has a good thread about this.

This is the most glaring thing that came to mind. If I read correctly, you only have 11 pieces of content that aren't product reviews on your whole website? I would add a heck of a lot more.

I generally like to have at least 5 articles for every 1,000+ monthly search keyword/product that I am trying to rank for.

In addition, interlinking between your articles is so incredibly important. Ever since I began to really focus on my interlinking, Google has begun crawling many more pages per day on my site. My SERPs ranking for competitive keywords that were stuck on page 2 have begun to creep up onto page 1.

Now, I'd like to add that when I write the articles about my niche, I will generally link to at least 5 other articles on my site and at least 1 product review page (in addition to my product reviews category). I make sure that there is at least 3 sentences relating the article to the product review page that I am linking to. I also give these same instructions to my writers.

Also, while Majestic is far from accurate, 44 referring domains is a bit low. Have you been making manual blog comments? Unless you're in the most obscure niche ever, you could easily be making 3+ niche relevant blog comments per day.

Edit: Lightningblitz had a nice post about being stuck on page 2. For the life of me, I cannot locate it right now. Maybe someone else can link it.

Just be careful, 7% exact match keyword is already a lot and more than enough if it's the right links using exact anchors. Also a little too much generic compared to brand in my opinion. (As long as it isn't a EMD, this would mean you seriousely messed up)

Get more backlinks from higher metric domains as you have already taken care of the rest.

Use company names, naked URLs, etc for your anchors.Don't use exact keywords anchor more than 5% and brand more than 10%.

why brand keyword can't do more than 10%?
brand keyword is name of domain, right?

I think 3 to 5 strong pbn links with exact match anchor text should get you to top 3. If not, try to build more junk links to lower your exact match anchor text ratio to 2-3%. Good luck mate.

I never use any PBNs for my affiliate blogs like amazon or cpa sites & still able to rank within 4-8 months (depending on the niche & competiton),you just have to be consistent with your content publishing & creating backlinks.Also on your backlink profile diagram I see you used 200 PR (even though you might have used naked urls only) but I found its a big no-no when it comes to using PR for affiliate blog site.

I tried to create one , but I thought that it will be expensive and very time-consuming, so I felt a little bit lazy, but probably, it will worth it .

My plan is also going to add more related "blog posts" for interlinking. And I ordered more words for the current articles, I'm thinking to add extra 300-400 words to my older posts, so I'll increase my words from 1k to 1.5k.

I know that Majestic is not accurate , but it's the most accurate amongs others(semrush,ahrefs and etc.). GWT shows 244 links, and I still have maybe 100-150 links(some web2.0s, 50% of PR , tumblr blogs) which didn't get indexed by Google. When they done, I think anchor ratio for EMD will decrease.


Thanks for all replies , I was trying to get my website away from PBNs for a long time to not penalized by Google, but now I think that, it's only way( I consider to use Guest Posting, but it's hard if you have an affiliate website, and you just focused on reviews) to get spots on Top 3 .
