1. I registered an account with Gmail, and for the first 5 days, I was just browsing various subreddits or occasionally liking some posts, all done manually.

2. I used a 4G proxy through GridPanel.

3. I used a fingerprint browser, specifically AdsPower.

4. Today, I posted my first comment—a totally normal one—and got a reply from the OP plus some upvotes. After 10 minutes, seeing no issues, I posted another comment, which also got a reply from the OP and upvotes. But about half an hour later, when I checked the account again, I found it had been banned.

I’m totally clueless about what to do now. Could it be an issue with the 4G proxy? Because this 4G mobile proxy changes IP every 10 minutes—whether I was registering the account or browsing different subreddits, the IP kept switching. Would a fixed IP proxy be better or something? Honestly, I’m just completely lost here.

It seems your Reddit shadowban might be due to a combination of factors:

1. Rotating 4G Proxy

Using a 4G proxy that changes IP addresses every 10 minutes can appear suspicious to Reddit's security systems. Frequent IP changes are often associated with spammy behavior, leading to potential bans.

Recommendation: Switch to a more stable proxy solution, such as a sticky 4G or residential proxy, which maintains the same IP for extended periods.

2. Account Activity Patterns

Even after a warm-up period, suddenly posting multiple comments in quick succession can trigger Reddit's spam filters. Reddit's algorithms are sensitive to abrupt increases in activity, especially from new accounts.

Recommendation: Gradually increase your engagement. Start with occasional comments and slowly build up your activity over time.

3. Browser Fingerprinting

While using fingerprint browsers like AdsPower can help mask your identity, inconsistencies between your browser's fingerprint and your proxy's location or behavior can raise red flags.

Recommendation: Ensure that your browser's fingerprint settings align with your proxy's characteristics. Consistency in time zones, languages, and other settings can reduce suspicion.

4. Proxy Reputation

Some proxies, especially free or commonly used ones, may have a bad reputation due to previous abuse by spammers. Reddit monitors IP addresses and may automatically shadowban accounts accessing the platform from suspicious IPs.

Recommendation: Invest in reputable proxy services known for maintaining clean IP addresses. Avoid free proxies or those with a history of misuse.

5. IP Address Consistency

Frequent changes in IP addresses, especially across different regions or countries, can alert Reddit's security systems. Consistency in your IP's geolocation helps in building trust.

Recommendation: Use proxies that offer IP addresses from a consistent location, preferably matching your account's registered location.

That's really unfortunate. Do you happen to know if the comment was removed by a subreddit moderator manually? Or by Reddit's spam filters?

Based on my experience, it’s neither, because if a mod removed my comment, I should have received a removal notification. If it were the Reddit spam filter, my comment shouldn’t have shown up at all from the start, but in fact, my comment was posted, and someone even replied to me. So, I don’t know what the reason is—it’s just that Reddit’s spam filter is very complicated. Do you have any good suggestions? I’ve really tried everything I can think of.

It's most likely your proxy quality. 4G US proxies are saturated with people using it for Reddit account farming. As a result, they are often very volatile. Maybe try sticky non-US 4G proxies and see. You don't need to wait 7 days to comment. Only 24 hours should be fine.

right now, reddit is cracking down hard on reddit accounts, and it will get even stricter soon. after they went public and made deals to sell their data to other companies, botted accounts posting, commenting, upvoting, etc., will only hurt them

You are doing great so far, keep it up, the more research you do, the more you will learn about how they are detecting you

plus i would suggest using dolphin, but if you prefer adspower then go for it

I've also been facing major issues and also was using Gridpanel's rotating 4G proxies.

Pretty sure alot of their IPs/subnets are getting flagged. Not positive, but I'm testing other solutions right now.

Which 4G Proxies are you using? UK or USA. If it is the problem of the IP, I think we need to buy more expensive one. But not 100% sure, Do you also use gmail to register the account?

We are same. Did you post any thing controversy? For me what I posted, just very regular stuff. Then I think this is the problem of the IP. If you use a warm up account with this IP, I think there is no problem. But new account, seems big trouble.

I have found the same thing to be true. I used these IP's with warmed up/old accounts. No problem.

Any new account? Banned as soon as I post/comment.

I wasn't posting anything controversial to warm them up. Just basic askreddit comments and posts in places that have no karma reqs.

I see. now the only thing I can think is the problem of the IP.

I tried IProyal but speeds were so bad I couldn't even use them for my purposes. Customer support was even worse so I vowed to never use them again. I showed them my speeds and they basically told me they can't control that which is completely false. I was getting like 0.2 mb/s up and down lol.

For me, I am in the process of buying aged accounts with a good CQS and just warming them up, similar to what I did with my other old accounts.

I see. I have bought IProyal's Static Residential. Not test much, so don't have any solutions.

What aged accounts are you buying? Just blank or with both post and comment karma? How do you determine this account has high CQS?

ugh, I know same thing happened with me, i was just commenting, funny ones, but it still showed me server error, dint get banned but, there is an orange shadow bot

Accounts with post and comment karma.

Honestly I really don’t know for sure if the CQS is good, kind of just praying lol

Some people check CQS by posting in r/WhatisMyCQS and getting an answer. If it's lowest, it's a really cold account. Low is somewhat warm. Aim for at least medium.

The problem is some account you can not test it at all. Because if you post or comment, just a quickly ban.

Thanks for your sharing. Where do you recommend to buy aged account? It seems a lot scammers.
