After 4 Months Still Not Ranking Well

You answered your own question quite honestly. There is no way any site will rank with 2-3 backlinks. You will need MUCH more, in the meantime - add some more content to your site and improve onpage.

2 backlinks , oh come on man , you should build at least 2000 to see good results especially when your competitors are old pages , no matter how bad is their design.

All of the domain I'm competing against are very old and their website is terrible. I have about 4 months and built 2-3 natural organic backlinks to my website.
*I also should add that my website is selling a product. It is not like a news site or blog site where I can write up a lot of content everyday and fill up the landing page. However, I do have a "blog" component on my website that I'm trying to use that area to improve my website keywords and every blog article is about 500-1.5k words.

Your competitors have aged domains and links too, try to fill out inner pages (product description/benefits/guides/tips/tricks pages).

Build more links as mentioned by umerjutt00 and also do social sharing.

Spy on competitors backlink profile to find link opportunities and anchor-text ideas. Use your approach of link outreach on same time (as you have mentioned that you received decent traffic from outreach links). Build quality links for tier-1 and then observe results.

keep building high quality backlinks, with and without anchor text, so you will see good results after 6 months!

2-3 backlinks, that is very very low OP. Start building High quality backlinks.

I have 2 backlinks to my main website.
Competition for my keywords is high. But in general my industry has tons of old domains and old outdated website designs that's not responsive and looks like they're from the early 2000's.
In terms of the landing page, the content I have is low word count and more product images and links to those products that have descriptions that are also relatively low. Under 300 words.
Keyword density for everything is also relatively low, most are repeated less than three times. However, I've interlinked them a lot.
Link Velocity is very low. Maybe 1 link every 4 weeks? (First time I heard this term I believe this has something to do with amount of backlinks per x y z time frame?) I sometimes get non link factors like a newsletter linking to my website for example.

My current landing page DA is 5 and PA 21 mR 2.58 according to moz toolbar. If this helps.

I laugh at first but when I read that you're serious, oh men! You need more links...

Having thousands and millions of competition it's impossible to defeat your competitors if you have 2-3 links only.

Anyway outreach bloggers and request to guest post, local citation, make your own blog.

Purchase some more better links there are enough good links.

Hey everyone, thank you guys for all your honest feedback I seriously appreciate it! So I did a check up on SEMRUSH with one of my competitor and I check his backlinks and they got a ton I mean a ton. They all seem to be spammy style sites and some sort of blog style links that directs to them. I wonder how do they not get penalized from this?

Overall Moz has indicated for my organic keywords I'm gaining a lot more in the top 10. Very happy about that. Link building still not going too well, I well definitely try to reach out more as suggested on here. I've been doing give away and sending product reviews for free hopefully to get a high value content written on it and link back to my site but so far no dice, they seem to just post it on their social media channels and it doesn't really translate to anything valuable for me in terms of SEO?

Do you guys have any tips on how to kind of persuade them to write content and direct it to you or it is not suggested since it violates Google's Webmaster policy?

Thank you all for taking the time to reply, highly appreciate it! I am also trying to get more knowledge of SEM, does anyone have any good recommendations on who is a expert that I should follow? For SEO I'm following Rand Fishkin and his content/tips.
