What is the required age to be eligible to enter Affiliate Summit? I'm 18 and live in Sweden but I would literally love to participate. As you all know, birds of a feather flock togheter.

Wish everyone the best,

It is 21 and you have to have a business card as well as a photo ID.

If any of you are trying to go to some clubs, get some bottles, and post up at a table with some girls let me know. I promote for a lot of places in Manhattan.

To be honest, I think that the age-limit is a joke. There are many young, mature, and successful internet-marketers that gladly would participate at Affiliate Summit. And also travel a long way to be able to be there.

But however, I think the age-limit is there for a good reason also. Many companies that will be attending at AS, CPA companies for example, would probably like to refer people of a mature age.

I hope you who are able to attend at Affiliate Summit will have a good time over there. In three years it's my turn...

I kind of agree; when I was young I would go to trade shows with my father and learn all kinds of things. He owned a sporting goods store so we would go to NYC every October to see what was being offered for the spring.

Having a young person exposed to business dealings is a good thing in my opinion.

Other than networking with others what are some other real benefits of going out the way to go to new york for this event?

There is Junior's in Brooklyn for outstanding cheesecake, you can head to the Bronx and see the new Yankee stadium, if you hate your life you can go to Queens and see Citifield... other than that, you can learn other methods of making money and meet some of the affiliate managers you work with and learn things that might help you generate more revenue from your sites.

Hey Basstracker & MrE.....I live nearby and may pop up for a few beers if you have some time to hang out.....let me know...thx...Ken

Ill be there as well. For those of you under 21, we can meet after and discuss.

I've been to 2 casino conferences and I honestly tell you - If you want to get social and meet some people - OK, go. In terms of business it's purely a waste of time. You get the same deals by phone.
