I'm looking into starting to work with some affiliates, but I don't have much history with building sites or steady traffic. The affiliate sites I've run into seem to shy away from smaller sites, are there any good affiliate programs for people without much experience or a massive site?

You can earn good money from hits4pay(dot)info

They are a Paid to Click website and they pay you $0.02 per click and you earn $0.01 per click in 2 levels!

That means you earn $0.01 for every click made by the people you refer to the site AND you earn $0.01 for every click made by people your referrals referred (if that makes any sense to you)

I know it does not sound like much but i have earned over $1,590 USD worth of $0.01's from my referrals so far

They have been paying out since 2001 and they are a free website so its easy to build a nice referral base :18:

Good luck in your online ventures!

I have heard a of a lot of good things with Amazon. It is generally easier to start compared to Clickbank.

In my opinion, it is always harder to start as a newbie. Anyone out there know of any mentorship program to help newbies get their feet off the ground?

Clickbank and Amazon are the best options. I would say Amazon is easy to start with by writing product reviews, further reading sections on articles, etc. but Clickbank does end up paying more. However, Clickbank does have that "spammy" feel to it. (whatever that means :P )

I would start out with amazon, and then clickbank when you understand a little bit more about the affiliate world. You can read a lot of good threads about how to get started here on BHW.

this is what i'm looking for..maybe i'm gonna try amazon too

globalinformationnetwork is my first! you need to be invited by a member to join though so use MONEYS as a password signup it's exclusive to invited people

Do you guys know the rates at which Amazon and/or Clickbank is giving to affiliates?

Clickbank can be up to %75 of sales. They list the percent they give you in the marketplace section of the CB website. Amazon is around %5-%15 depending on what your selling. Also big ticket items on Amazon usually top out at $25 per sale (computer for example).

Although i feel that amazon might be easier to promote, clickbank definitely has a higher payout. I guess it all depends on how you want to drive traffic to your site/list/landing page/whatever.

There are a lot of people out there making a killing through promoting clickbank products via e-mail lists. And there are also a lot of people who have a passive income through amazon.

It virtually comes down to what interests you more. Do whatever you think you'll have more fun with. Amazon may take a little longer to start seeing results because generally, you have to wait until you start ranking in the serps before you start seeing any sort of money trickle in.

Absouluty. Clickbank will put money in your pocket a lot quicker than Amazon.
