Affiliate Program Set up help

Hi Guys,

We have recently developed a new mainstream energy supplement and are currently selling only selling it online mainly through adwords. We are looking at setting up an affiliate program to help spread the words.

We want to make a really good affiliate program and we need your help!

What features to you affiliate look for?

We are probably going to start with 50% commission ($45 for one bottle so $22.50 minimum sale). Is this a good amount for the market?

To attach alot of good affiliates how often should we pay? We are looking at every 2 weeks.

We currently use Mal's eCommerce with integrated paypal pro and were going to run the affiliate program through mTracker on Mal's. Is this ok? or is it better to use a more recognised affiliate system?

If you have any suggestion or tips it would be much appreciated.

50% is quite good for a physical product.

The more often you pay the better. Weekly is great and very attractive to most people. If you can automate it, daily is awesome. The quicker you pay the more you're saying "we really love our affiliates". It also makes it easier to scale up if I can quickly re-invest money spent. Every two weeks is still good though.

I'm not familiar with that affiliate system, as long as it works though. I think hardly anyone cares how your affiliate system works. They just need to trust and feel good you and know they're going to get paid.

Also give them as many tools as you can. Banners, emails to send out, sample adwords ads that have worked for you, videos, keywords, etc.

Making it payable weekly shouldn't be a problem. I will look into trying to make it sooner.

Is it regularly done that newer affiliate get paid say weekly while a affiliate you can trust then can be paid daily as a sort of reward?
