Affiliate Program for my electronics product

I have an electronics product that is used to track vehicles for employees, teens, elderly... The device runs about ~$120 and the monthly service is 29.99 a month. I was thinking about offering 35% per sale or a smaller amount + a percent of the recurring fee as long as the user stays on.

Does anyone have any experience setting up an affiliate program for something like this? Would it even be a good offering? I have the product in a few retails stores and its doing very well just looking at expanding my sales online.

Have you tried selling it online yourself - e.g. ebay and amazon?

You can also offer dropshipping to affiliates.

Drop shipping is something you may want to think about like mancar487 said.

I would love to give your product a try if you do try to expand online since I've never really seen anyone promoting such a device.

How does your product compare to a brand name product that is doing serious advertising? The thing is with your product, how would consumers know to trust your brand that you wouldn't disappear after selling them the unit?

I like your idea and it will work in affiliate marketing, once you have overcome the objections above. When people get billed monthly, they want to know that the company will be around and they haven't wasted their money on their purchase.
