Newbie Affiliate Question!

Want to hear an opinion of individuals who have been in affiliate game for awhile.

The more and more I learn and research about affiliate marketing, it seems like that it is highly recommended to run paid ads on your offers.

If that true??

If a newbie just starting out and have a bit of cash flow to play around with ads, which platform would you recommend to test with paid ads on facebook....google....etc?

It greatly depends on what kind of offers you are looking to promote. Some work better with certain ad types, some worse. Finding a profitable campaign can cost you thousands of £$€¢¥. Once you've found a profitable campaign, you can sit back and enjoy the cashflow.

Make sure to use a tracker (like Redtrack) to analyse and optimize your campaigns

Start with facebook. It will allow you to target better and more cost effective. FB will give you data as to who is responding to your ads more by age, device etc.

Do you run the ads to your landing page and then to offer? or do you send the customers directly to the offer?

I run ads to a landing page with a link thats tracks clicks to the affiliate offer. Test both to see what yields better results.

you don't run straight to affiliate links, you take the users to your landing page from there it goes to affiliate landing page

You'll struggle to make money even landing page-->offer. Direct to offer, crikey. You're a bit late in the game for that.

This is how you do it :-

1) Pick a niche that has interests.

2) Target them on facebook or through google ads.

3) Build lists by offering them goodies they want.

4) Monetize on the backend for several months, with multiple offers.

5) Track everything.

What do you mean by 2) ?
You mean run ads to them?
Isn't that just doing landing page --> offer?
