Long time lurker here but with the cost of living looking to make a side hustle to help and to be completely honest I want to build something of my own.
Bit of background.
I currently have a 9-5 job which I don't hate, but would prefer my own business.
Im not in debt.
My mother passed away a few months back and am currently in the process of selling her house so have a hefty chunk of money coming my way. She wouldn't want me to waste it so am going to be mighty careful/clever...
Wife left her 9-5 job last year to start her own business and is killing it making xx,xxx monthly.
Now its my time to do something!
Not too sure which way to turn though and am looking for some advice from you clever people.
Option 1 - AFFILIATE / IM
Option 2 - Ecommerce
Option 1 -
I have a few domains that could be used for affiliate marketing.
I like the thought of putting work in now which will hopefully generate money in the future.
My concerns with this method.
1. It takes a while to start generating money
2. It may NOT make money
3. It could be tanked with any future update
4. I see many people running multiple affiliate sites and think I would struggle with this. I am at a point in my life where I want to concentrate on ONE big thing.
Option 2
I have seen firsthand how my wife has grown her business and have carefully and sneakily been taking notes if or when I decide to bite the bullet.
I would enjoy creating and selling physical products.
My concerns
1. Set up costs
2. Advertising Costs
3. Space to stock products
4. Takes more time and effort than an affiliate site?? - Im not lazy lol
With the cost of living rising, I don't want a brick and mortar business at this moment in time but really want to do some kind of venture.
Like I say I want to focus on one BIG thing and put 110% effort in to grow it,
