I've been considering going into Affiliate Marketing, as I already run 2 businesses in Financial Claims and Retail Marketing, and this was my plan: Create a website which will basically presell products, by reviewing the product in question. So let's say I'm selling books through Amazon. I write a review on a book that is popular and also that I've read and liked. I go to Yahoo Answers where somebody has asked about the name of this book. I reply, telling them that there is a review at website.com and they come to my website and read my view. At the bottom it says if they wish to buy it, it's available from Amazon, click here ... which then goes to Amazon via my Aff link. Books was just for example, it could be for pretty much anything and the reviews don't need to be by me, I could easily copy and paste from somewhere else, or allow people to submit their own reviews through the site, which I'll then add my Aff link to at the bottom. I could also promote via Pay Per Click which is one of my strengths. A few questions:- Do you think the whole site could be done by using blog software such as Wordpress? - What flaws do you see to this plan? - Is there anything which I could add to my plan to make it work better? Thanks in advance.
This site could very easily be made using Wordpress, actually there are whole plugins based on review type sites for WP. The only flaws I see is this possibly being over saturated but I'm not 100% since I'm not in this niche. I suggest you get it setup and start testing immediately. You could promote the site on Twitter as well, I recently made a thread about gaining traffic to your blog using Twitter. I would also suggest searching the forum for different SEO techniques like article submission, social bookmarking, and linkwheels. _Austin
Go to the Wp section & you will get great ideas there hope i don't need to give you directions your are not a nob here
Keep a subject area for the books. Do the same subject for movies and post pictures in the subject area also. Good plan layout with the yahoo answers.
Only possible flaw I could see is that you should think bigger than yahoo answers. The ppc is great if that is your strength.
Don't rely solely on Yahoo Answers, it's one source of traffic but there are many mores. Exploit them all hard.
