In line with our discussion: why do affiliate networks care about Individual vs Company?
I had 2 Today asking me this for "tax status". I told them I was a sole trader (individual doing business). They don't seem to like it.
Also, for payments via Paxum it seems they must be using DOB if you are an individual and company registration otherwise.
Totally different: one of my affiliate networks is part of a VAT group. It looks like the same VAT number is shared by several companies, I checked on VIES and the number checks for the reporting entity (not for the affiliate network).
My question: how do I do due dilligence and check that the affiliate network is indeed part of the VAT group they claim to be in as opposed to have a VAT nb of its own or no VAT nb at all? Is there a good website to check sch company info? (B2BHint?)
