Affiliate Marketing Has Never Been so Simple: Follow These Suggestions from Jon @ CPA INFINITY (tacitinc on BHW)

Affiliate marketing can be an important part of your online presence. You need to do all of your research so that you don't wind up losing a ton of money or even losing customers and traffic to your website. There are some tips listed below to help you begin doing this properly.

To best market your site, you should know what keywords people are using to search for you. This will allow you to see if various marketing campaigns are working, such as if you've been pushing a particular product or keyword phrase, and which of your marketing efforts might need some more work.

To help get more views on different parts of your content, use widgets. You can add a widget to your content template that contains links to other parts of your blog or Web site. Some widgets offer links to related content, while others link to the most recent content you've posted. Having these links on every page means that even if people arrive at your blog or site on an older page, there's a chance they'll see something that interests them on another page, which will of course give them another chance to click your affiliate links.

In affiliate marketing, just as in other things in life, there is no substitute for hands-on experience. Therefore, I recommend strongly that you try the product yourself. If you cannot (not everyone is in a position to touch a Leica M9 or a Ferrari), then research the item. Read reviews. Even better, ask end users -- preferably those who have actually bought the product -- about their experience. User forums are extremely helpful. Finally, ask yourself, "Would I be happy with this?"

Buy a domain name that reflects your website and the affiliate program you're promoting, and then point it towards the content on your website which is specificly promoting that program. For example, if I'm affiliated with Roboform I could purchase RoboformSolutions.com and link it to the "Roboform" category on my blog.

Trading links means that you put your link on someone else's site and they put their link on your site. Do this enough times and you will build a strong link network. Another great way to generate links is to be a blog commenter or guest content provider on another site.

Become knowledgeable in SEO. It's important to do research into exactly what keywords people are searching for that bring them to your website. This will tell you what content you have that brings people to your website and should give you an idea as to what kinds of marketing campaigns will be successful and which ones will not.

A great affiliate marketing tip is to put Google AdSense on your site. AdSense is an ad that is placed on your site, and when the ad is clicked on by a guest on your site, you will be paid by Google for that click. If you have a site that has a lot of visitors on a regular basis, it is easy to earn some extra money using AdSense.

Affiliate marketing can be very rewarding, but it can also be a lot of work. Regardless, if you know what to do and how to market smarter, you can make bigger profits. So, do yourself a favor by doing your research and applying the above tips to your affiliate marketing.
