Starving SEO

Hi all.
I've been doing IM for quite a while, and am hoping to take a step forward with it and be more consistent with it moving forward.
I think that some of the things that have held me back have been working isolation and not enough willingness to learn/try new things. With that in mind, here are what I perceive to be my areas of strength and weakness:
Very experienced with Wordpress implementation and customization and a lot of the basic to intermediate level webmastering issues. Ok design skills, grasp of SEO, and I used to do a good amount of PPC via Adwords and YSM.
I'd like to get a lot better at linkbuilding and SEO, and traffic generation in general, including social marketing.
