Hope someone can give me some good advice, we are adding a CPA affiliate program to our gaming site, we've been offered by 1 company to have them provide a full time affiliate manager but I want to compare that with what affiliate managers normally work for.

How are AM's normally paid? Are they given a salary to go out and find affiliates or do they get a cut of commissions, if they get a cut what kind of percentage do I have to offer them?

Any feedback or advice would be great. Thanks

I believe the managers get 30% and the publishers 70% of the commissions usually

Sadly, affiliate mangers don't get much.. Base salary + 2-5% (tiers) of profits they generate is normal for larger networks.

haha, another vastly broad and incorrect assumption.

They get paid base salary + performance bonus and it's a tiered system and there is no fix 2-5%.

Get your facts right - it depends on the company policy, their margins and also on the performance of their affiliates managers.

Obviously it depends on the company.. He asked generally, and I said "is normal for larger networks"... Not "is the compensation for every network". Learn to read Captain Obvious!

Btw.. Why are you commenting on every post I make? I must have hurt your sensitive little feelings somewhere... Or you must have a crush on me, but I don't swing that way LOL..

AM'S are usually paid through commission. It could vary that the AM will get 20% and the publisher 80%. or 30% and the publisher 70%. It depends on the people and what agreement are they able to come down to.

I used to work as a gambling affiliate manager and was paid a yearly salary + monthly commission that was worked out on the amount of depositing players my accounts generated.
