    Hi everyone,

I would like an opinion. I am planning on releasing a badass product with the next 2 months but I am having doubts on whether I should use an affiliate system like paydotcom, clickbank, etc... or if I should run my own program. Running my own program seems more profitable but less likely to attract affiliates. Any opinions? And whats the best affiliate management system software out there?

    Hi,

Would you be familiar with the affiliate management system offered in the
    1shoppingcart dot com system?

I think another system that you could consider using might be jvmanager2, but again, it depends on how familiar you are with using such hosted affiliate management systems.

Would it be helpful if you actually set your affiliate program up in clickbank or paydotcom first, then have your own affiliate program set up in a system or script parallel to cb or paydotcom? Once your own affiliate program takes off, you can cut the product and the affiliate program out from clickbank and paydotcom?

    Good luck with your launch.

    Cheerio

Trust me - if you are launching your own product and website then you will have more than enough on your plate before even attempting to run your own inhouse affiliate program.

The same things like approving affiliates, answering stupid questions and dealing with admin and invoicing can take up so much time.

Go to a decent network, pay for a management team, give them a juicy affiliate commission to push and let them do the job they are good at - basically all the sh*t that goes with getting affiliates on board.

The networks are ace at this - you can then develop your own personal relationships with the key affiliates that drive your volume and somewhere down the line get an in house person to take over those relationships and if you wish you can tell the affiliate networks to go take a running leap with their override fee - you can then have some fun watching them fall over themselves to offer you free management hours and a reduction in management fee!!! :D
