affiliate links before or after?

Hi,

Regarding affiliate links, should they be put on the website before or after off-site SEO.

Will the links affect how it ranks, or when I eventually add them, will they affect my ranking?

What's the best thing to do here?

you may put the links when your rankings are on 1st page

When you get close to the 1st page or even better when you're there..

I insert affiliate links in my content as soon as I finish building the site and before starting off-site SEO. It makes no difference whether you add the affiliate links before or after.

If you get your site ranked well without aff links on it and then place them on the site, IF having affiliate links on the site is an issue that Google doesn't like, then there is a good chance Google may dip your site in the rankings.

Is your site a WP site? If so let me know as I have something that can hide your affiliate links from Google so it won't affect your rankings.

I had a WP plugin built exactly for this purpose so it should be exactly what you're looking for.

After you are ranking page 1. But have a link in place where you are funneling traffic to first so that there is an exit point to your site and people just hit a dead end.

I would say it doesn't matter. Don't overthink it. I usually just put it on my site while building it.
