It seems one-time is more common and probably more popular? In theory, recurring is good / better as it builds up over time? Of course only, if the merchant is reliable.

What is your preferred payout method: Recurring or one-time commissions?

Both, depends on your commitment. Onetime if you need fast money and recurring if you are in for the long run.

Its important for the longrun that its recurring. There is way more money in that.

lifetime revshare is very good, I still have passive earnings from some networks that I stopped promoting around 2017

Well recuring its way more better but of course you need some good marketing skills to make some good volume sales
