Google don't allow direct link on affiliate link. You need to have a landing page to pre-sales your product/services

The best way to run as an affiliate is indeed to build your own bridge-page / lander. You can use ClickFunnels, HTML or any other landing page builder.
Then from there, you can link out to an affiliate link. If you are getting blocked, then there is probably something against their terms within your ad.

You can put direct link no problem. If they not going through 3rd platforms like sharesale

Making a success with affiliate marketing is almost impossible with Google Ads.
At one time it was a goldmine and many people did well out of it, before the rules tightened.
That said, when advertising on a platform like Google Ads or Facebook, it is better to
link to a page other than an affiliate offer. There are some platforms they do approve, but better to play safe.

In the beggining, there will less profit. But will experience, one can master this and degenerate good ROI.

It is difficult to make money, but not impossible. I have had a negative ROI this month but many of my friends got some real ROI. It majorly depends upon which offer do you select.
