    Hey all,

    This is the deal.

My mum is looking to get a crowd funding project off the ground and once it's into production we are going to offer it as a drop shipping affiliate product.

Now it's not everyone's cup of tea as it's a self development board game for up to 6 players. (it's a bit hippy, but it's something that she has been working on for the last 15 years and all the people who play it are pretty impressed.) So the problem is that I need to help her get the funding first and then it can go into production.

We are going to be offering a standard 15 points for most affiliates (it's a $65 product, $9.95 per sale) however for BHW members I will offer a 25 point return ($16.25).

Now that is all fine and good, but as I said it needs to get the funding and that is where I am making a call out to all the IM'rs out there.

If you can send traffic to the crowd funding site and help us get it over the line I can actually make this offer and we can all profit.

The website is theshamanjourney.com and you can find the link to the Pozible page there. (have a look and see if it's something that you think you can sell...

Then once it's up we will PM a code that you can use in the affiliate registration to get the 25% offer.

So I thought I would just float this idea to you guys to see if a) It's something that might be of interest and 2) see if this has some legs...

let me know your thoughts guys.....

    *edit spelling*thanks bumpywowus

Checked it and I liked the idea of the board game.
But I agree, It's not everyone's cup of tea.

I have been doing a fair marketing push on it myself.

Facebook, Reddit, Pintrest, Tumblr, Twitter (all fairly standard WH techniques really). Also going to be doing a fair off line media push but, every little bit helps really. I don't have much of a stumbleupon following so it's not really going to go that far but it certainly cant help.

p.s. Glad you like the game, it's a well made and interesting product that can has a decent market, it's just that, that market isn't that easy for me to reach.

First off props to your mom for dedicating 15 years to getting her passion off the ground. Most people cant dedicate 15 MONTHS to anything.

With that said I'm pretty sure I could get people to buy this but since crowding funding is being used that means there's no product in mass production yet right?

That's a little harder for me because the people I target would want the game immediately.

I'll brainstorm some traffic generation and i'll try to help on that front, but when you reach whatever financial goal you set and start selling contact me and i'll be able to get you a few buyers.

Speaking of, what is the goal financially your hoping to get to using crowd funding?

I wish you much success in this, seriously.:)

never mind I found out that its $25,000. Thats definitely reachable.

This. Plus the kind of people you would want to be marketing to are the kind of people who would appreciate a person working for her passion. But of course my opinions come from the "vibe" i'm getting from the site.

You probably already did this but just in case you didn't, if it were me, I would probably brainstorm for the type of people who watch shows with some spirituality/enlightenment/self-development/hippy-new-age kind of thing . Facebook laser target it to people who have liked those kinds of television shows and activities (tarot cards/yoga/paulo coelho maybe?) in the country you wish to target.

The biggest asset here is that she spent 15 years in the game. She isn't that young but still spent a lot of effort and emotion and passion into ---- A GAME - who does that? Nobody but people with a passion.

People love supporting that kind of thing.

I'll pass that on, I totally agree about dedication to a project!

So yeah, it's not in production as yet as the crowd funding is to be able to tool up to start manufacture at a reasonable price. She can currently make them but the cost is somewhere like $100 per unit. So that isn't a sustainable price point.

Yeah, $25K isn't unreachable at all really but it's just a matter of reaching it.

So this is what I am doing (any extra ideas/advice would be awesome)

Website is up and looks nice, has a blog post going weekly to it, which is being shared on facebook, twitter and so on.

Pozible page that I am calling out to my/her facebook friends in an effort to get that URL shared as much as possible (I also did a few posts to reddit in an effort to get that shared as well)

Facebook page is up and I am posting an "Affirmation image" (a pretty picture with a unique quote on it and a branding image) in an attempt to get some sharing of that, to lead them form facebook back to the pozible.

Twitter is posting a quote a day to try to get retweets and again lead back to the pozible page.

Tumblr has the images posted daily with a click link back to the pozible. ( i have not bots for that so it's a manual process, and I haven't really used it before)

Same with Pintrest. (bots as well... doing manual uploads of the images and then manual linking) I have used scrapebot to get a shit load of similar images that I am going to post to my boards all with pozible links but yeah, its a slow and manual process. (yes I could buy a bot but I lost my business about 2 months ago and have no spare cash to get one... and that sucks a bit of balls.

I was thinking of doing some scrape box comments, but I have never really had much luck there.

I could do some directory submissions (sliqsubmitter) and article marketing (AMR) but its traffic that I need to be honest and that is the key....

Yeah, any advice would be great.

I will be running facebook ads based on those demographic profiles, but cash is tight at the moment so it's not looking like a viable option just yet.
