Aff link or self host?

Hey guys,
I was wondering what would be better to sell hosting to a client. Using a aff link or hosting via your own hosting. Why?
And also, if aff link, could you recommend some good ones. Preferably one that is recurring.

I would use an affiliate link if you're not an experienced hosting provider and/or have dedicated support for your clients.

What hosting affiliates do you recommend? And how do you suggest going about it? Like using a direct affiliate or something like CJ?

I started hosting clients instead of referrals, it works well for me for 2 reasons.

1. I can give away free hosting for a year to encourage clients to sign up for other services.
2. Recurring payments - most hosts I found did not offer this.
