Hi,

I did adwords back in the day... it was way simpler. A few ads, rotate the ad copy, bid $0.10 and you were good to go. It's changed now. There's quality scores, I can't understand how the bid is calculated, and so on and so forth. So question... where's a good place to start to learn to get back in the adwords game. Any decent "how-to's" or guides kicking around out there you guys would care to share?

Cheers

XH

You need quality text on the page wording etc relevant to what your bidding on.

Just practicing and read all google TOS, don't buy this and that crap adwords course, spend your money on practice is better than that, keep your feet wet first!

Google is the best provider for the material relating to adwords, there are good videos for easy assimilation & reading material for the same which is readily available on internet, and yes rightly said don't get in the trap of buying material for adwords from here & there everything is free for studying & easily available.

Learn how to structure a campaign, how to target it in order to get the message to the right audience. Do a lot of keyword research, Always keep your ads relevant for the keywords and your landing page relevant for your ads - this is the most important aspect when getting the quality score. Start with a max bid, in order not to overspend on clicks. See your ads position after the 1st day and adjust the bid accordingly. Don't pay for any material! There are a lot of blogs that have free and quality guides and the best place to start learning is google itself :)
BTW, there is also a certification you can get from google if you take the adwords exam.
Good luck man

Online material of Perry Marshal is also quite good... it can also give you good guidance....
but again go for free material only whatever available.
