Got hit with a site violation on my Google Ads account. They aren’t clear on what exactly is wrong, just the standard "site violates policies" message. Has anyone dealt with this before? What steps should I take to fix it?

Check the policy center, sometimes it’s a landing page issue like misleading content or missing disclaimers.
 
Happens a lot if you use thin content or too many redirects. Google doesn’t like anything that looks like cloaking.
 
Run your site through Google’s transparency checker. It’ll show you if it’s flagged for malware or phishing.
 
Sometimes it’s just automatic. Appeal once with a clear explanation, then if denied, fix and re-apply.
 
Try running the same page on a different domain to test if the domain itself is blacklisted.
 
In worst cases, rebuild the landing page from scratch, clean design, no aggressive popups, then resubmit.
