I have a domain with multiple subdomains. Would adwords allow me to use http://www.mydomain.com as the display url but have the landing page be mysub.mydomain.com/product/product.html ?

Since the root domain is the same I figured it might be allowed but I am unsure.

Only would take a few seconds to check. If your ad doesn't get approved by their automated relevance check systems that you know why. :p No harm done.

I'm pretty sure (could be wrong) that you cannot do that. It must be the URL the user would be sent to if I remember correctly.

Like termsb said, give er a try. :) GL

Google says you must send the user to the same url as your display url. The only other way to get around this is by using iFraming but it's only a matter of time before Big G catches on.

So my suggestion is to just create a keyword rich subdomain name to use for your adwords campaign something like yourmainkeyword.yourdomain.com This will not only increase your click thru ratio but also increase relevancy in goog's eye's and in turn boost your quality score. I definitely don't suggest trying to go around the bush if you don't have to.

This should be fine but if you are worried shoot adwords an email and ask them. Sunseven is right about the domain having to be the same but I would imagine a subdomain would count.
