Hello,

I am new to Adwords, just launched my first campaigns, one ad is quite successful, one of the keywords seems to get the most clicks. Is there any method to decrease the CPC? i pay now around €0,40 per click for a product with €7+/- profit. And should i increase the budget? Currently €5 a day but adwords seem to spend more than that.

We always aim to be at first place in google search, where google charges high. CPC (Cost Per Click) means an amount which have been invested on a click. We have some tricks that we can use to reduce CPC for a google adwords, listed below..
Add Long Tail Keywords
Target the keywords that have low bids
Use Negative Keywords
Aim for 3rd or 4th position
Focus on the Quality Score
Create Tightly Themed Ad Groups

Go for manual bidding
Improve quality scores
Make different landing pages for your PPC campaigns
Add negative keywords
Use long tail keywords

Simple... increase your quality score. Optimize your ads, improve your landing page, refine the keywords in your campaign to weed out the losers, and don't over-bid. I suggest OP reads a book on Adwords before blowing through too much cash.

How do you improve your landing page? What do you mean by that? Ad related KW's to your copy?

Well, you look at your average position and bid accordingly. However, from experience 4th position was the best in terms of ROI but with the new layout and no sidebar ads it depends on the terms and you should just experiment with which average position provides the best ROI.

- Optimize QS (landing page, ad copy to increase CTR ...)
- Check day parting setting (which times of the day bring only clicks vs. conversions)

etc.

Yes, proper keyword and LSI density and GOOD QUALITY writing with original images. Sounds simple but finding the right balance can take some time.

I'd honestly recommend buying a book or two (Perry Marshall helped me back in the day https://www.amazon.com/Ultimate-Guide-Google-AdWords-Million/dp/1599186128/ ) and brushing up on Adwords before going nuts. Too many people burn money by flying by the seat of their pants. Adwords is serious business, if you don't actually know it well then you're always going to be open to blunders.

Number of things affect your CPC, as already mentioned above - increase quality score
Focus on profit, as if you make 7 euro for each 0.40 spent - that looks good.

In terms of raising budget - you should definitely do it, but I suggest not to jump in adding 1000 on top, but to rise gradually, little by little.

These are the easiest 5 ways to decrease your cpc in ad words. If you follow these 5 ways surely you can able to lower your cpc in ad words.
1) Relevancy
2) Quality Score
3) Click Through Rate
4) Lower Your Bids
5) Negative Keywords
