Ok background: I got a total of 4 amazon stores set up within the last 45 days or so. 1 is ranking well between page 2 and 7 for my keywords so far. The other 3 are to new and not ranked yet. Got some adword vouchers that i want to put to use so I can get some of that Xmas traffic that is coming very soon. So what would be the best way of attack with these sites and using adwords. Again the sites are Magneto used software and feature a full working shopping cart so they will have to load up the cart and go through the steps and end up paying at Amazon.

    With this should I..

Build ads geared toward my keywords?

Build ads geared toward a certain product?

Build ads in a general sense around just a good deal?

What works best when it comes to adwords and ecommerce?

    Thank you

from emagic. I see where it is a 14 day trial. But if I use that program and use it for my site will I still have my stff listed in google shopping AFTER the trial is over? I am looking at others to that seem to be free.

Actually emagic has nothing to do with google shopping directly. You export your data in a csv from emagic and then import that csv in googl shopping as their format. I suggested them because they are easy to use. I tried couple plunging from magento but never able to get the image attribute working.

    Hope that helps

first you need to set up a google merchant center account. upload your feed into there. Google will provide a template for you to use.

then link your adwords to your merchant account.

You will need to create a product listing campaign with product ads. I would suggest using each product as its own ad group and use campaign names as the categories.

Once your create the campaigns/ad groups you can create the product ads. Enable product extensions in the ad extensions section.

Upload your feed in merchant center. Review could take up to a week. Once approved they will show in your merchant center and linked to your adwords account. you

I would build an exact match phrase campaign for a couple products. you won't get many clicks, but at least you won't waste money... my guess is that you don't have a huge budget to buy targeted traffic. Also, there a few ways to get ad words to push you up higher if you follow their recommendations. good luck.

If you don't go the merchant center/PLA way you can...

Open excel and download all your products or concatenate them to build long tail phrases. Then do 1 to 1 ad groups = 1 keyword per ad group...this will help you greatly in testing ad copy that converts. Each ad should go to the specific product (obviously). You can also do each product/keyword as exact match and broad match modified. Make sure you build out your negative keyword list...i.e free, cheap etc...as long as it pertains so you don;t waste money/clicks on irrelevant traffic.

Start of with low bids since long tail specific keyword phrases may be less competitive. For very specific long tail on exact match you could run into low search volume. So even if you have a $50 max cpc, if there's no search volume your ad wont show.

Also try different languages as traffic that chooses spanish for example as the interface language may cost less to market too. Bid down on mobile if your site isnt mobile optimized and have strict call to actions in the ad copy. I have found ways to actually use Best, Lowest and Click and more superlatives in the ad copy so let me know if you have any questions.
