Adwords - Black Hat

If I have one local website that offers local services, and I ranked that website on page 1 using black hat methods (SAPE, PBN, etc), can I add this site to to AdWords and use PPC advertising without any problem?


Actually, that is my clients website and he wants me to setup AdWords and take care of it completely, but I ranked his site using pure black hat as I said, is that problem?
I never used AdWords so far, so not sure what I can and can not.

You'll probably be fine advertising on AdWords. If you have a new AdWords account you may get flagged for review if you are doing suspicious things with your AdWords campaigns. If the site gets flagged then you may be SOL when it comes to using AdWords for that url.

I'm curious, does your client know that you ranked his site with black hat methods?
 
No, he does not know, and he does not care. But he just wants results, both with rankings and now with AdWords, so I have to do this somehow. Should I remove all SAPE and PBN links and put them back after manual review?
 
Where exactly on the first page is the website? If it's in the bottom half below the google local/map listings and the yelp pages, then it's not going to get too many hits. Probably that's why your client wants to do adwords. If you can rank it at the very top, you wouldn't need to spend money on adwords. By the very top I mean right under the first 2 or 3 adwords ads at the top of the page.

Well well & well, I have to disagree here, because the statistics shows that the Top Spots taken by Ads get much more attention then the 2nd or 3rd organic numbers..!

True, that's how big G makes their billions. But the listing that's next after the 2 or 3 google ads is going to get a good percentage of what's left. I've had many people tell me they never click on those ads because they know those are ads, so what's left can be a very significant number.
 
in my experience Adwords imposes 2 major manual reviews to new accounts, once you pass those, you are golden.

if the methods to rank on Google are blackhat and your page is whitehat, you are good to go.
but even if there is something blackhat on your page, there are ways to get it accepted in Adwords.
 
wierd.Why "your customer" won't make a second site and do the Adwords on it?
SAPE for the money site in the 2015 - is suicide. Hell, it was suicidal last year as well.
 
from my experience you can use adwords on sites that have been penalized on organic rankings, so you should be fine. quality score might be low though if the site gets a penalty.
 
Seo and Adwords are two different things, just important is you follow adwords guidelines.

If you haven't good content to show google , and if your website doesn't maintain google's policy , You mustn't apply for adsense.

OP, extreme90 is correct with each of his statements.
I've been using adwords for almost 6 years now and when my site got penalised with penguin, I had no problems with adwords... you just need to stick to t&c and you're fine, and for 6 years I ever needed just one adwords account.
 
For adwords things which you require is no ads and OBL on the LP , thats the main issue. Rest there is no problem as SEO and Adwords are not interlinked.
 
Hey' buddy; I don't think you will face problem in advertising that site on adwords. Just make sure that there is a DCMA page on website!
