Advise needed.

Hey guys,

I'm currently a college student and working part time in a retail store, which is the worst thing I can explain to anyone. Serious.

I am a 100% noob to IM, but I know that instant gratification is a bad thing so I'm happy to put the work/time in for things. Gotta work to get. Not necessarily looking from an easy method or a cop out, i just need a good motivational kick in the arse and a bit of guidance.

Basically long story short I am in the great position that I still live at home so I have little expenses (no rent etc) so I could survive on 50 bucks or less a day (transport to college etc).

Currently to subsidize my retail job (shit pay) I'm doing a bit of ewhoring (won't go into detail lol) and that has got me making me in around €20 an hour on average - that's the thing though it's very very time consuming and can be extremely hit and miss, also no recurring revenue lol, unless start going towards CPA - but as I said I'm 100% noob, does anyone know of other methods that could be worth my while to get going?
I am currently working on an Instagram account (currently building followers and hen hopefully before the end of the week to start building an email list) however I have a friend that is in the email marketing game atm and he advised me that it's not the best to get into due to its unpredictability and strongly advises me from investing in it.
I am sort of messing around with/ trying to get my barings with shopify and FB ads (easier said than done) and doing a bit of freelance stuff for websites etc - but im just struggling trying to get that one methd to click.
I know IM takes time to get up and running and start generating income, so i just need a bit of guidance/ words of wisdom.

Anyway so im starting to look into other methods to invest (time and some capital) in that may be more ethical to help make €30-50 a day.

I know there is a HUGE amount of information on this forum and I have been reading so much but a lot of it seems outdated / doesn't work (usually give things about a month of 100% commitment before make a call on it.)

Does anyone have any success in email marketing that could weigh in here ?

Anyway guys any advice would be very much appreciated.

TLDR; im in college, little expenses, bit of extra bank wouldn't be too bad. Not looking for 1 stop plan. Im not a dumb guy, I know i have to and am willing to put in work / possibly investment, what would you recommend?

Ill just leave you a quick list of IM concepts you can further research if one sounds interesting

- Lead Generation (Big Dollar Items Reccomended. More money with less traffic)

- Flip Sites - SEO localy based website to page one and then sell to local company and add their brand, Logo, content, etc... on sale

- Affiliate Marketing (Selling other people products and getting a pay out. Checkout clickbank)

- download wordpress.org and get good at it. You can utilize your localhost server to practice w/o costs. (Download Wamp on windows and Mamp on Mac)

- wordpress plugin/theme development

- start a blog about something you genuinely enjoy and write atleast weekly. Long term google adsense potential. (Not extremely exciting, but you could be making pretty good money in a year or two. Theres something to be said for consistancy.)

- If your truly in it for the long run learn at least a little bit about php, mysql, jquery, xml, javascript, json, html, css.

- social media marketing (look into apis for a huge advantage. Confusing at first, but if you stick with it APIS will allow you to automate everything.)

- youtube channel, insta, and all that good stuff

- Just get started, look for niches, realize at some pount you absolutely will want to quit. If you get through it though, there genuinely is a lot of money to be made. Just dont under estimate how difficult it will be.

Damn man thanks so much for that message.

I'd say at the moment, the social media, lead generation and the YouTube and insta would be the ones that get my attention the most. But I'll sure to be read up on all of those methods.

If what you are doing right now is bringing in some cash, it might be a good idea to keep doing it, but try and implement additional methods and spins. If I were you, I would invest all the time I could devote into growing my skills on the technical side of things, so when you start implementing other methods, you would have the technical skills to improve and optimize them.

Analyze your current skill set and knowledge and try to pick your next test project (the next method you will try) so that you have enough skills to believe you can make it work, but that you would also pick up a few new valuable ones.

Generally speaking, if you are OK for money right now, try to concentrate on skills that will benefit you in the long run even if you would be making a bit less right now.

There are a trillion and one things to get lost i when it comes to IM.

Most of it is shit, or takes a long time to build up. Dont be somebody wbo

That does not sounds like a bad plan at all. Is there any skills in particualr you could say would be beneficial and worthwhile to learn?

Yeah its annoying, without making excuses im not really a techy person - im more the sales end of things with the people skills, so basically anything that i do will be from fresh which is good and bad in its own ways.

Fair dues to you, you're doing it the correct way by having an income and looking at IM for a side income while you learn more.

I have more respect for people like you, than I do with idiots who just want to post on here begging for the spoon fed methods and can't be arsed being proactive themselves.

Yeah man as soon as i saw it i was like "well god dammit".

Thats the thing that people have understanding that i think i have already grasped, it doesnt happen overnight haha.

I do think in fairness though there are 2 sides to it; as in there is no point completely focusing on growing on instagram account when you could be learning email marketing etc as the 2 can evidently be used together.

But yes i completely understand what you are saying aswell

I think its the safest way to approach it. I am new to the whole thing, i can openly admit it theres nothing wrong with being new

But need to be real aswell, most of the time stuff doesnt work out. I presume its the same with IM, but on the flip side if you can get it to work you can bring it to exponential levels with the right work ethic. ALl about finding that 1 thing though, little method called trial and error i believe ?

But yes i dont really understand that either.. If i had a method that i designed and was able to make 4-5k a month with it do you think i would be willingly telling random people on the internet how to do it? Hahaha some people just see the words "make money" and their brains go into mush.

The variety of skills that can be useful is huge. Building websites, doing designs on photoshop, editing videos. I would have said coding and web dev, but if you feel that's not your strong suit concentrate on the things you feel you can excel at. Just make sure that all the new projects you start are neither impossible, no too easy. You need to be expanding your knowledge, skills and experience at every step of the way.

Yes i understand, build your skill set so you can use it to help future projects.

Yes i would feel that it wouldnt be my strongest suit / but at the same time I have to go outside comfort zone everyone once in a while I am leaning towards photoshop and video editing i feel. I have a bit of experience in making websites, so I might try to get back into it - if i feel it can benefit me in the long term.

If you are already making money then your ahead of many many people on this forum. I mean you are actually getting money into your pocket so you should keep twisting and turning that method as much as you can. When you can't think of anything else, forget about it, and when you are in the shower one day, a great idea will pop into your head.

Yeah it's not exactly serious money, or anything I can tell anyone about but I guess money's money

I have been looking into doing like content lockers and CPA's and stuff (are they the same thing? Who knows) in am attempt to expand further , but ultimately the ewhoring is only a short term thing to get my feet wet in the industry.

You could do some content writing if you have free time, your English is decent enough.

Trial and error is the way though, what works for 1 person might not work for you.

Yeah I've been looking into learning sales copy and providing that for businesses - would need to go the high end though, not just fiverr gigs. Maybe originally but only to build a name / portfolio for myself.

That's exactly it. Which is why I never understand why people always come looking for exact step by step methods on here as apposed to asking for general information/ topics to explore.
